Lux went 3-for-4 with a double and solo home run Tuesday against the Orioles.

Lux had a strong day at the plate after having gone hitless in each of his last four appearances. The big shot came in the fifth inning, when he launched a home run to center field for his first career long ball. Currently slotted atop the depth chart at second base, Lux should continue to get regular at-bats as he adjusts to his first taste of big-league pitching. Through just seven games, he's managed a .250/.333/.458 line while working three free passes against five strikeouts.

Castro went 3-for-5 with two runs scored and an RBI in Tuesday's 12-11 win over the Yankees.

All three hits for Castro were singles, which isn't too surprising considering he had four singles in a game Saturday. The 25-year-old has just 16 extra-base hits in 300 at-bats this season, though it's hard to complain too much given his .293 batting average.

Forsythe was scratched from Tuesday's lineup against the Rays with left intercostal tightness, Stefan Stevenson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.

Forsythe was scheduled to start and first base and bat seventh before the intercostal issue cropped up. Isiah Kiner-Falefa will take his place in the lineup.

Dubon went 1-for-4 with a stolen base and a run scored in Monday's 6-4 loss to the Pirates.

Dubon nabbed his first major-league steal this past weekend against the Dodgers, and he added his second just two days later. The 24-year-old only had 11 steals over 124 games in Triple-A this season, but he did have two consecutive 30-plus steal seasons prior to 2019, so the middle infielder can certainly provide help in that category in an era where stolen-base numbers are on the decline.

Lux was added to the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Orioles.

Lux was originally supposed to sit with lefty Ty Blach on the mound for Baltimore. Justin Turner (ankle) getting scratched triggered a series of changes, however. Chris Taylor moves in from right field to third base, with Enrique Hernandez moving from second base to right field. Lux will enter the lineup as the second baseman, batting ninth.

Lux is not starting Tuesday against Baltimore.

Lux started six straight games after earning his first big-league callup last week. He hit just 3-for-20 in those games, though it goes without saying the sample size is far too small to jump to any conclusions about his future. All six of his starts came against righties, but he'll sit against lefty Ty Blach on Tuesday. Enrique Hernandez starts at second base in his absence.

Rodriguez isn't in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against the Yankees, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.

Rodriguez went 0-for-2 with a strikeout and a walk in Sunday's series finale, and he'll head to the bench following a team off day. Harold Castro gets the nod at second base and is set to hit second.

Lowe (quadriceps) took grounders Monday and is slated to hit in a simulated game Wednesday, Juan Toribio of MLB.com reports.

Lowe continues to trend towards a return this season, as he's finally been cleared to face live pitching. He'll step into the box against Yonny Chirinos, who's on the mend from a finger injury. The next step in Lowe's rehab should be announced shortly after Wednesday's sim game.

Hoerner went 3-for-5 with a triple, two runs and four RBI in his big-league debut Monday in San Diego.

Hoerner would not even be in the majors if the Cubs hadn't been decimated by injuries at shortstop, but he made the most of his opportunity in his first game. The Cubs fans traveled well and were cheering on the top prospect throughout his excellent debut. Not only did he impress at the dish, but he made some excellent plays at shortstop and scored from third on a heads-up baserunning play. If he continues to produce, he could displace Addison Russell (head) even when the latter is healthy.

Altuve went 3-for-3 with a home run, two RBI and a second run scored in Monday's 15-0 win over the Athletics.

Altuve has hit safely in 15 of the last 16 games, slashing .364/.394/.652 during that stretch. That's just one chunk of games during a monster second half in which he's been a different hitter than he was in the first half. That suggests the hamstring injury he dealt with during May and June played a role in his depressed early season numbers. Altuve, who had .781 OPS in 55 first-half games, has a 1.051 OPS over 54 games since the All-Star break.
