Jazz Chisholm CF | NYY
Yankees' Jazz Chisholm: Fills stat sheet in win
Chisholm went 3-for-5 with a home run, four RBI and two stolen bases in Friday's 9-6 win over the Red Sox.
Chisholm launched a three-run homer in the first inning and remained a thorn in Boston's side all night, adding two more hits and swiping two bags. The 27-year-old has been on fire since returning from the injured list Tuesday, going 8-for-16 with two home runs, six RBI, three runs scored and three steals. On the season, he's slashing .223/.326/.471 with nine long balls, 23 RBI, 20 runs scored and nine stolen bases across 141 plate appearances.

Willi Castro RF | CHC
Twins' Willi Castro: Resting Friday
Castro isn't in the lineup for Friday's game against Toronto.
Castro will get a chance to rest Friday after going 5-for-15 with two homers during the Twins' previous series against the Athletics. Kody Clemens will start at second base in his absence, and Harrison Bader, Byron Buxton and Matt Wallner will patrol the outfield.

Michael Massey 2B | KC
Royals' Michael Massey: Sitting versus righty
Massey is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the White Sox.
Most of Massey's absences this season have come against left-handed pitching, but he finds himself on the bench Friday against Chicago righty Davis Martin, who has reverse splits. Jac Caglianone will serve as the designated hitter while Drew Waters, Kyle Isbel and John Rave start from left to right in the outfield.

Luis Garcia 2B | WAS
Nationals' Luis Garcia: Idle Friday
Garcia is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Rangers.
The lefty-hitting Garcia will dodge a matchup with southpaw Patrick Corbin. In his stead, Nasim Nunez will bat ninth and play second base.

Nick Gonzales 2B | PIT
Pirates' Nick Gonzales: Struggling in small sample
Gonzales went 0-for-4 with three strikeouts Thursday against the Astros.
Gonzalez has started two of three games since being activated from the 60-day injured list Tuesday. He hit sixth against a right-handed starter Tuesday but slotted into the cleanup spot with southpaw Framber Valdez on the mound Thursday. Despite the ugly effort, Gonzales should get a long look as the starting second baseman for the Pirates after fracturing his ankle Opening Day and missing more than two months.

Tim Tawa 2B | ARI
Diamondbacks' Tim Tawa: Fills in at first base
Tawa went 0-for-3 with a walk and a run scored in Thursday's 11-10 win over Atlanta.
Tawa entered as a pinch hitter for first baseman Pavin Smith and remained in the game to play the same position. It was the second time this season Tawa has played first base. Arizona would normally use Josh Naylor to fill in at first base, but he had started the game as the DH and eventually left with a shoulder injury. If Naylor's injury forces him to miss time, Smith would be the likely starter at first base against righties with Tawa, Lourdes Gurriel and Ildemaro Vargas as potential platoon partners.

Max Muncy SS | ATH
Athletics' Max Muncy: Blasts three-run homer
Muncy went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run in Thursday's 14-3 victory over the Twins.
Muncy was recalled from Triple-A Las Vegas on Wednesday after being optioned to the minors April 20. The 22-year-old struck out three times in his return Tuesday but redeemed himself with a three-run homer in the first inning Thursday. The 2021 first-round pick has posted markedly different results across levels, slashing .325/.397/.504 in 31 Triple-A games compared to .195/.225/.325 over 23 contests in the majors.

Marcus Semien 2B | NYM
Rangers' Marcus Semien: Two homers in loss
Semien went 3-for-4 with two solo home runs in Thursday's 4-3 loss to the Rays.
Semien went deep in the fifth and seventh innings to give the Rangers a 3-1 lead. Things unraveled in the ninth for Texas, but Semien continued a productive stretch that has seen him homer three times over the last six games for half of his output on the year. The second baseman is at a .210/.298/.308 slash line, 23 RBI, 21 runs scored and five stolen bases over 62 contests. Considering he has just nine extra-base hits on the year after posting 52 of them in 2024, he is due for a bit more power.

Luis Garcia 2B | WAS
Nationals' Luis Garcia: Stays hot at plate
Garcia went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI single during Thursday's 7-1 loss to the Cubs.
Garcia provided the Nationals' lone run Thursday, plating Daylen Lile in the bottom of the ninth inning to avoid a shutout. The performance also marked Garcia's fourth multi-hit game in his last six appearances, and he's 12-for-27 (.444) with four doubles, five runs scored and seven RBI during that stretch. On the year, Garcia is slashing .263/.305/.412 with five homers and seven steals in 54 games.

Jazz Chisholm CF | NYY
Yankees' Jazz Chisholm: Productive in win
Chisholm went 3-for-4 with an RBI single and a stolen base during Thursday's 4-0 win over the Guardians.
The performance marked Chisholm's second three-hit game in 33 appearances this season and his second multi-hit outing since being activated from the injured list Tuesday. He's up to seven stolen bases this year. In 136 plate appearances, Chisholm is slashing .207/.316/.440 with eight homers, 19 RBI and 19 runs scored.
