Hernandez went 1-for-4 with a walk and an RBI in Friday's 3-2 extra-inning win over Oakland.

Hernandez made key plays in the field and at the plate in the 10th inning to secure Boston's eighth consecutive victory. In the top of the 10th, he plopped a broken-bat single over second base to plate Michael Chavis with the go-ahead run. Then, in the bottom half of the frame, he initiated a double-play, catching Sean Murphy's flyball and throwing out Seth Brown at home. Hernandez has hit safely in five of the last six games, posting a .364 (8-for-22) average with three home runs, six RBI and four runs scored during that span.

Albies went 1-for-2 with an RBI and a stolen base in Friday's 1-0 win over the Marlins.

After Ronald Acuna got hit by the first pitch of the game, Albies cashed him in with a sacrifice fly, and that was all the offense either squad could muster on the night. The second baseman has hit safely in five straight games and swiped a bag in three straight, continuing a hot stretch that has seen him slash .322/.362/.593 since the beginning of June with six homers, 10 steals, 19 runs and 31 RBI through 30 games.

Marte (hamstring) took at-bats in a live batting practice session Friday but did not run out of the batter's box, Nick Piecoro of the Arizona Republic reports.

Marte, who was placed on the injured list earlier in the week, is trying to stay sharp while recovering from his second IL stay due to balky hamstrings.

Altuve went 1-for-5 with a stolen base and a run scored in Friday's 6-3 win over Cleveland.

Altuve hit an infield single in the third inning, advanced to second on a groundout and then stole third before coming home on a Carlos Correa double. The steal was just Altuve's fourth in five attempts this year. The second baseman is slashing .286/.374/.505 with 18 home runs, 47 RBI and 61 runs scored across 337 plate appearances.

Arroyo (knee) will play rehab games with Triple-A Worcester on Friday and Saturday and could join the Red Sox in Anaheim on Monday, Bill Koch of The Providence Journal reports.

Recent updates have suggested that Arroyo has fully recovered from his right knee bruise, and that he just requires some rehab at-bats before rejoining the big-league club. If not Monday, the 26-year-old's return will likely occur sometime early next week.

Castro is starting at shortstop and batting seventh in Friday's game against the White Sox.

Zack Short started both games of the doubleheader Wednesday the last time the Tigers took the field, but he'll retreat to the bench Friday and give way to Castro. The latter is slashing .262/.320/.305 this season with a home run and 17 RBI in 46 games this season.

Guillorme is not in the lineup Friday against the Yankees.

Guillorme started the past 10 games at third base but will take a seat after going 7-for-30 (.233 averaged) during that stretch. The 26-year-old may see a downturn in playing time in the near future with Jonathan Villar (calf) potentially returning from the injured list this weekend.

Short is not in the starting lineup for Friday's game against the White Sox, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.

Short started at shortstop during both games of Wednesday's doubleheader against Cleveland, but he'll begin Friday's game on the bench. Harold Castro will start at shortstop and bat seventh.

India went 2-for-3 with two doubles, one RBI, a run scored, two walks and a stolen base in Thursday's 5-4 win over the Padres.

India had quite the offensive day, tallying multiple extra-base hits for the fourth time this season. He added his seventh steal when he stole third base in the first inning. The 24-year-old is slashing .268/.384/.408 with six home runs, seven steals, 31 RBI and 38 runs in 277 plate appearances. He is batting .326 with three steals and 13 runs scored over his last 12 games.

Altuve went 1-for-3 with two walks and a grand slam in Thursday's 7-2 win over Cleveland.

With Houston trailing 2-1 in the fifth inning, Altuve connected for a grand slam off J.C. Mejia to give the Astros a lead they would not relinquish. It was his second granny of the season.
