Chavis went 3-for-4 with a home run, two doubles, two RBI and four runs for Triple-A Indianapolis in its 13-1 win over Iowa on Saturday. He also reached base on a pair of hit-by-pitches.

After being acquired from the Red Sox prior to last week's trade deadline, Chavis was expected to immediately join the big club, but Pittsburgh instead optioned him to Indianapolis. Chavis has taken the assignment in stride, going 7-for-16 with six extra-base hits and a stolen base through his first four contests with Indianapolis. He'll likely be the Pirates' top option for a call-up if the team requires another infielder over the final two months of the season.

Arizona manager Torey Lovullo said Rojas (finger) could be reinstated off the 10-day injured list Tuesday, when the Diamondbacks play the Giants in San Francisco, Nick Piecoro of the Arizona Republic reports.

Rojas kicked off a rehab assignment at Triple-A Reno on Friday, playing seven innings at shortstop, then he played nine innings Saturday as the designated hitter. He's expected to start in the field Sunday.

Urias provided a two-run, pinch-hit home run in Saturday's loss to San Francisco.

Urias was summoned from the bench in the 10th inning and took Jarlin Garcia deep to center field to pull the Brewers to within 5-4. It was the 14th homer of the season for Urias, who's been converted to more of a utility role following the trade-deadline acquisition of Eduardo Escobar. Saturday's homer was Urias' first since July 16 and snapped a 4-for-35 (.114) skid that had spanned his previous 14 games.

Rodgers exited Saturday's game with a right hand contusion, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.

The infielder is day-to-day with the injury, and it's unclear if he'll be able to play in Sunday's series finale against Miami.

Rodgers left Saturday's game against the Marlins after his right hand was hit by a pitch, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post reports.

It's unclear whether Rodgers' wrist or hand is the issue, and he should be considered day-to-day until the Rockies provide an update. Ryan McMahon entered the game to pinch run for Rodgers.

Espinal is not in the lineup for Game 2 of Saturday's doubleheader against the Red Sox.

Espinal went 0-for-2 with a strikeout in the afternoon contest and is now hitting .235 in 34 at-bats since the All-Star break. Breyvic Valera will start at third base and bat eighth Saturday night.

Gimenez was called up by Cleveland on Saturday.

Gimenez came with plenty of hype over the offseason following a trade from the Mets, but he fell flat on his face, hitting just .179/.226/.308 in 29 games. He won't be in the lineup immediately upon his promotion, but he seems to have earned another shot at a regular role, as he hit .287/.342/.502 in 52 games for Triple-A Columbus. J.C. Mejia was optioned in a corresponding move.

Kim isn't in the lineup Saturday against the Diamondbacks.

Kim has gone 3-for-9 with a home run, a double, three runs and three RBI across his last four appearances, but he'll be out of the lineup for a third consecutive game. Jake Cronenworth will shift to shortstop while Eric Hosmer remains at first base. Expect the Padres to proceed with Cronenworth rather than Kim as the team's primary option at shortstop while Fernando Tatis (shoulder) remains without a timeline to return from the injured list.

Lopez is not in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Cardinals.

Lopez hits the bench after starting 10 straight games, a stretch in which he hit .265/.265/.412. Hanser Alberto will start at shortstop in his absence.

Marte isn't starting Saturday's game against San Diego, Steve Gilbert of MLB.com reports.

Marte started in each of the last three games, and he went 3-for-12 with a double, an RBI and a walk. Josh VanMeter will start at second base while Pavin Smith takes over in center field.
