Garcia went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored Tuesday in the Nationals' 7-1 win over the Marlins.

Garcia has plated a run in three consecutive contests and four of his last five, and his improved production at the plate of late coupled with his stable role should put him in consideration for a pickup in deeper mixed leagues where available. He'll start at second base in Wednesday's series finale in Miami, batting eighth.

Altuve went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run and an additional run scored in Tuesday's 10-5 win over the Angels.

After resting Monday, Altuve slammed a two-run homer off Oliver Ortega in the fifth inning to extend the Astros' lead. In addition, he scored in the sixth inning on a sacrifice fly by Carlos Correa. He has at least one hit in 14 of his last 15 games. The 31-year-old is slashing .280/.354/.489 with 29 long balls, 78 RBI and 109 runs scored in 632 plate appearances this season.

India went 1-for-2 with three walks Tuesday in the Reds' 6-2 loss to the PIrates.

The rookie continues to thrive atop the Cincinnati lineup, with the three free passes boosting his on-base average to .376 on the season. He'll be leading off again for Cincinnati in Wednesday's series finale while manning his usual spot in the field at second base.

Hernandez went 1-for-3 with a walk, a solo home run and a second run scored in Tuesday's 6-3 win over the Mets.

Hernandez did it with both the stick -- he swatted his 18th homer -- and his arm when he threw out Pete Alonso at home plate, which prevented the Mets from taking a 3-0 lead. He's been active during Boston's six-game winning streak, getting on base 10 times over 27 plate appearances and scoring seven runs.

Ibanez started at first base and went 3-for-4 with a double in Tuesday's 7-1 loss to the Yankees.

Ibanez continues to show a lively bat despite moving around the diamond. He's 7-for-15 in four games since coming off the injured list while seeing time at first base, second base and designated hitter.

The Diamondbacks are expected to have Marte anchored at one position next season instead of having him bouncing between second base and center field, Steve Gilbert of the Diamondbacks' official site reports.

Marte has battled injury issues since the end of 2019, which management believes could be partially related to having him play multiple positions. This is the same refrain we've heard from Arizona's brass the last couple of seasons, but they've opted to take advantage of Marte's versatility. "I would think at this stage, we're going to probably zone in a little bit more on one position," Diamondbacks general manager Mike Hazen said. "That is my gut feeling right now, but I want to hear from the coaches as well." Marte has seen a lot of time at second base over the last week, which could be a sign of things to come, particularly if they deem outfield prospect Alek Thomas is ready for the majors to start 2022.

Mayfield went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Tuesday's 10-5 loss to the Astros.

Mayfield went deep off Jose Urquidy in the second inning to put the Angels on the board. In addition, he walked in the sixth frame. It is just the second time he got on base twice in his last nine games. The 30-year-old is slashing .211/.277/.432 with 10 long balls, 26 RBI and 25 runs scored in 240 plate appearances this season.

Albies went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's 6-1 win against Arizona.

Albies launched a solo shot off Arizona starter Luke Weaver to give Atlanta an early four-run lead it wouldn't relinquish. The long ball is the 24-year-old's sixth of September as more than one third of his 16 hits this month have left the yard, though Albies is batting a mediocre .225 across 70 September at-bats.

Clement went 2-for-3 with a solo home run during Tuesday's win over the Royals.

Clement took Daniel Lynch deep with a 396-foot blast in the third inning. The long ball accounted for his first hit in three games since getting recalled from Triple-A Columbus on Wednesday. Overall this season, the 25-year-old is batting .227/.276/.336 with three homers across 39 games.

Kemp will take a seat versus the Mariners on Tuesday.

The 29-year-old sits for the second consecutive contest. He had secured at least one hit in eight of 11 games to open the month before going hitless in his last four contests. Mark Canha will shift over to left field and Chad Pinder will start in right field and bat sixth.
