Tony Kemp 2B | MIN
Athletics' Tony Kemp: Doubles, scores in Friday's loss
Kemp went 1-for-2 with an RBI double and two runs in a loss to the Guardians on Friday.
The veteran leadoff man made some noise out of the top of the order and scored multiple runs for the second time this season. Kemp has hit safely in three of his last four games and is carrying a solid .262 average and .355 on-base percentage through his first 76 plate appearances.

Adam Frazier 2B | LAA
Mariners' Adam Frazier: On bench Saturday
Frazier isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Marlins.
Frazier is in the midst of a five-game hitting streak in which he's gone 5-for-21 with a double, five runs, four RBI, two walks and three strikeouts. Abraham Toro will start at the keystone and lead off Saturday.

Amed Rosario 3B | NYY
Guardians' Amed Rosario: Remains out of lineup
Rosario isn't starting Saturday's game against Oakland.
Rosario has gone 1-for-13 with two runs and two strikeouts in his last three appearances, and he'll be out of the lineup for a second straight game. Andres Gimenez will shift to shortstop while Ernie Clement starts at second base.
-
Luis Arraez 2B | PHI
Twins' Luis Arraez: On bench against lefty
Arraez isn't starting Saturday's game against the Rays, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.
Arraez has started against just two southpaws this year, and he'll get a breather with left-hander Shane McClanahan starting for the Rays on Saturday. Gary Sanchez will serve as the designated hitter while Ryan Jeffers starts behind the dish.

Nolan Gorman 3B | STL
Cardinals' Nolan Gorman: Riding 15-game hit streak
Gorman currently sports a 15-game hitting streak at Triple-A Memphis, slashing .393/.433/.918 with 10 home runs, a 6.0 BB% and a 29.9 K% in 61 at-bats over that stretch.
It's tempting to get swept up in his power production, but recent history tells us that any hitter who is striking out 30 percent of the time at Triple-A is going to struggle mightily to hit for a high average in the majors. Gorman is nonetheless ahead of schedule, as he doesn't turn 22 until early May and has been arguably the most productive hitter in all the minors.

Andres Gimenez SS | TOR
Guardians' Andres Gimenez: Launches grand slam
Gimenez went 3-for-4 with a grand slam and a double during Friday's 9-8 victory against the Athletics.
Gimenez doubled in the first inning, connected on a grand slam in the third and singled in the seventh en route to recording his second three-hit game of the season. The 23-year-old holds an impressive .349 average through 43 games this season, though that mark is propped up by an unsustainable .419 BABIP.
-
Andy Ibanez 2B | NYM
Rangers' Andy Ibanez: Extends modest hit streak
Ibanez went 2-for-3 in Friday's 6-3 loss to Atlanta.
Ibanez extended his hitting streak to four games and has hit safely in six of the last seven (7-for-20, .350) with two extra-base hits and two RBI. He's spent all seven of those games batting seventh or later in the batting order, but Ibanez could move up where there are more RBI opportunities if he continues to hit.

Gleyber Torres 2B | DET
Yankees' Gleyber Torres: Pops second homer
Torres went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Friday's 12-2 rout of the Royals.
He launched the Yankees' fourth and final homer of the night by taking Jake Brentz deep in the eighth inning. Torres is showing signs of life at the plate, and while Friday's long ball was only his second of the season, the 25-year-old is slashing .333/.364/.619 over his last seven games.

Jose Rodriguez 2B | PHI
White Sox's Jose Rodriguez: Improving results at Double-A
Rodriguez has hit .229/.280/.371 with one home run, five RBI and nine runs scored across 74 plate appearances to begin the season with Double-A Birmingham.
Rodriguez got very brief exposure at Double-A to conclude last season and was assigned to the level to begin 2022. He got off to a dreadful start, striking out at least once in seven of his first eight starts. However, Rodriguez has swung the bat better since, collecting at least one hit in 12 of his last 14 games, raising his average from .189 to .229. Still only 21-years-old, Rodriguez has moved through the White Sox system relatively quickly and is holding his own during his first extended look in the upper levels of the minor leagues.

Liover Peguero SS | PIT
Pirates' Liover Peguero: Hitting well at Altoona
Peguero has hit .338/.357/.603 with three home runs, 16 RBI and 12 runs scored across 70 plate appearances with Double-A Altoona to begin the 2022 season.
Peguero has made the most of his first opportunity in the upper levels of the minor leagues. His 13.6 percent strikeout rate stands out in a positive way, particularly when contrasted with the fact that he was punched out on strikes 25.2 percent of the time with High-A Greensboro in 2021. While it's still too early in the campaign to draw conclusions, Peguero has also shown plenty of pop by accruing a .281 ISO and .439 wOBA. The only downside to his profile at this point is a three percent walk rate, though given the way he's impacted the ball it's difficult to argue he should be swinging less. Pittsburgh moves its prospects notoriously slowly, so Peguero isn't likely to see the majors until some point in 2023.
