Hernandez went 3-for-4 with a pair of solo home runs and a two-run double against the Giants on Friday.

Even more impressively, all three hits came off Madison Bumgarner. Hernandez is now 9-for-15 (.600) with six RBI and four runs batting out of the leadoff spot this season. He should continue seeing regular playing time as long as Scott Van Slyke and Carl Crawford are sidelined with injuries.

Tomlinson is in the lineup Friday against the Dodgers, batting seventh and playing shortstop.

Brandon Crawford's hip flexor injury will keep him off the field Friday, so Tomlinson is set to take over at short for the Giants' series opener down in LA. Tomlinson got the start in place of Crawford when the Giants faced Dodgers' ace Clayton Kershaw last weekend and went 0-for-3 with a strikeout.

Drury went 0-for-4 with a pair of strikeouts in Thursday's loss to the Dodgers.

Drury has served as a utility man early this season as manager Chip Hale figures out how to configure the best lineup without A.J Pollock. He has made starts at third base as well as right and left field through the first two weeks of the season, but he has yet to take advantage of those opportunities. Drury's slash line dipped to .182/.182/.227 after Thursday's contest and he has just one extra base hit in 22 at-bats. He may still continue to get starts in the outfield, but until he begins producing at the plate, he can be left on the waiver wire in shallower leagues.

Rosario, 20, is batting .306 with one home run, two RBI and three steals through eight games for High-A St. Lucie.

The shortstop of the future for the Mets, Rosario should see Double-A shortly with a hot start. He did not hit a single home run in 103 games at High-A last season, though at just 19 years of age was among the youngest players at that level.

Hernandez is starting in left field Thursday and leading off against the Diamondbacks.

Hernandez is batting leadoff for the third time this season Thursday. In his other two games serving as the leadoff batter, Hernandez has gone 4-for-8 with a run and three strikeouts. He'll be facing left-hander Robbie Ray on Thursday, a pitcher he's gone 2-for-5 against with a pair of extra base hits.

Wall, 20, is batting .393/.414/.571 with one home run, eight RBI and one steal through six games with High-A Modesto.

Wall often gets lost in the shuffle among the likes of Trevor Story, David Dahl and Ryan McMahon. However, he hit .286/.366/.439 with seven home runs, 47 RBI and 25 steals in 2015, mostly at Low-A. He should be able to take full advantage of the friendly hitting confines of the California League this season.

Diaz went 4-for-5 with three doubles, three RBI, and three runs scored in a game with Low-A Wisconsin on Wednesday.

Wednesday's game was Diaz's best early this season, but he has impressed at the plate in other games as well, owning a .381/.519/.714 slash line and 6:4 BB:K ratio through seven contests. Diaz will turn 20 in May and is playing full-season ball for the first time this year, so he may spend all of 2016 with Wisconsin regardless of performance.

Albies currently has a six-game hitting streak, hitting .385 (10-for-26) with a stolen base and three runs for Double-A Mississippi.

He also hit .371 with a .907 OPS in 16 spring games with the Braves this year. The 19-year-old prospect could be in the majors as soon as the beginning of next season.

Beckham reached base three times and went 2-for-3 at the plate on Tuesday against the Nationals.

Beckham was given the start at second base and batted eighth in the Braves' lineup. The 29-year-old has only started in two of the Braves' first seven games and has been more of a utility backup for the club. He's 3-for-12 at the plate in his six appearances, four of which came as a pinch-hitter later on in the game.

The Padres are hopeful to get Solarte (hamstring) back before the end of April, MLB.com's AJ Cassavell reports.

The Padres' starting third baseman appears to be progressing nicely in his recovery from a strained hamstring, and he should return in late April or early May. In the meantime, Alexi Amarista and Adam Rosales figure to get the starts at the hot corner for San Diego.
