Marte went 2-for-5 with two doubles, three RBI and two runs scored in Friday's 9-1 win over Texas.

The Diamondbacks scored all of their runs in the fourth and fifth innings, and Marte doubled home runs in both frames. The second baseman has hit safely in all nine games since coming off the injured list, going 10-for-35 with three doubles, one home run, six RBI and six runs scored during his streak.

Lowe is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Cubs.

The left-handed hitter will begin the festivities on the bench as the Cubs send southpaw Shota Imanaga to the bump. Nick Gonzales will handle second base in place of Lowe and bat sixth for the Pirates.

The Nationals placed Nunez on the bereavement list Thursday.

Nunez will miss the weekend series against the Angels before likely returning for next week's series versus the Phillies. Andrew Pinckney will take Nunez's spot on the active roster.

Albies is not in the lineup for Thursday's contest versus the Rays.

Albies is 2-for-23 (.087) over his last six games and is slashing just .195/.271/.305 since the beginning of August, so he will get a rare day off to regroup. Mauricio Dubon will fill in at second base in Albies' stead.

Norby went 2-for-3 with a double and a solo home run Wednesday against the Yankees.

Norby made his return to Colorado's lineup after sitting each of the team's last two games -- both of which came against righties. He provided the Rockies' only run of the game with his seventh home run of the season and second in his last 11 starts. Norby has also hit .273 with eight RBI and seven runs scored in that span, though he's still lost playing time due to the return of Kyle Karros.

McLain is not in the Reds' starting lineup against the Dodgers on Wednesday.

McLain will receive a rare day off Wednesday, with Juan Brito drawing the start at second base and batting sixth against Dodgers right-hander Yoshinobu Yamamoto. McLain has gone 4-for-24 with one steal, two home runs, four RBI and four runs scored through seven games in September.

Cronenworth is not in the lineup for Wednesday's contest versus the Nationals.

He's getting a routine day off after starting each of the previous six games. Fernando Tatis will net a start at second base, and Jase Bowen will play right field for the Padres in the series finale.

Basabe is absent from the lineup for Wednesday's game versus the Cardinals.

Basabe started the previous five contests for the Giants, but he'll exit the lineup for Wednesday's series finale. Jonah Cox will handle second base in Basabe's stead.

McLain went 1-for-3 with a stolen base in Tuesday's 3-2 loss to the Dodgers.

McLain has hit safely in four of his last five games, but he hasn't had a multi-hit effort over his last 18 contests. In that span, he has gone just 9-for-65 (.138) with two steals, four home runs and 10 RBI. The infielder is batting .189 with a .630 OPS, 15 home runs, 17 steals, 39 RBI, 54 runs scored and 17 doubles over 121 contests this season.

Amador went 1-for-3 with a solo home run Tuesday against the Yankees.

Amador drew his sixth consecutive start since being recalled to begin September. This was his second home run in that span, and he's also gone 8-for-22 with four RBI and five runs scored. Amador could split time at second base with Connor Norby, though he's made the case for consistent playing time with his showing to this point.
