  • Padres' Yangervis Solarte: Out of lineup for Monday's contest

Solarte will be out of the lineup for Monday's outing against the Giants.

Solarte has played the last two games at second base, but the Padres will opt to start Alexi Amarista for Monday's game in San Francisco. Because Solarte just came off the DL on Saturday, he will have the night off to rest and could return to the lineup for Tuesday's matchup against the Giants.

  • Giants' Kelby Tomlinson: Gets nod at second base

Tomlinson will start at second base and bat second for San Francisco on Monday.

Tomlinson will get the nod to set up a righty-lefty matchup with San Diego's Drew Pomeranz on the mound. The 25-year-old will replace Joe Panik, who, interestingly, is batting .309 against lefties this season whereas Tomlinson is hitting just .238.

  • Padres' Yangervis Solarte: Plays 17 innings in return from DL

Solarte hit cleanup for the Padres is his first game back from the disabled list Sunday and went 0-for-6 with a walk while playing all 17 innings in the field in a winning effort.

After starting the game at second base, Solarte eventually shifted to third as the Padres made several adjustments throughout the getaway day marathon. The switch-hitting Solarte may be moved around the order frequently by manager Andy Green, but it's expected that he'll see regular time at the keystone with Brett Wallace manning third base against right-handed pitchers.

  • Diamondbacks' Brandon Drury: Goes 2-for-4 on Sunday

Drury went 2-for-4 with a run and an RBI in Sunday's win over the Cardinals.

Drury continues to play almost every day--and hit--for the Diamondbacks. He started at third on Sunday, with Jake Lamb sitting against lefty Jaime Garcia, but Drury has primarily been playing in the outfield, where Arizona is thin due to injuries to A.J. Pollock and David Peralta. Drury is worth owning in most leagues due to his strong offensive production (.306/.335/.531, seven home runs, 15 RBI) and multi-position potential.

  • Rockies' Cristhian Adames: Cranks out first career homer Saturday

Adames went 1-for-2 with a two-run homer in Saturday's 5-1 victory over the Pirates.

The 24-year-old blasted a two-out, two-run shot off reliever Jared Hughes, adding to the Rockies' lead and marking the first time he'd gone deep in 106 major league at-bats. Despite the positive development, Adames is receiving limited playing time, and only slashing .184/.262/.263 in 38 at-bats this season.

  • Padres' Yangervis Solarte: Activated from DL

Solarte (hamstring) was activated from the disabled list Saturday.

Solarte will rejoin the Padres after a two rehab starts with Triple-A El Paso. He went 5-for-7 with one double and two triples during his time in Triple-A. Jose Pirela has been optioned to make room for Solarte.

  • Giants' Kelby Tomlinson: Starting in left field Saturday

Tomlinson will get the start in left field for Saturday's contest with the Cubs.

Tomlinson will make his first start of the season in left field. He has been seeing the ball well recently; going 6-for-8 over his last five games. He will bat third in the order Saturday, and will square off against the left-handed Jon Lester. He is slashing an impressive .419/.484/.938 in 31 at-bats against southpaws this season.

  • Diamondbacks' Brandon Drury: Launches seventh homer Friday

Drury went 1-for-4 with a solo homer and a walk against the Cardinals on Friday.

Drury's seventh home run of the year came in the ninth inning to give the Diamondbacks a nine-run lead in a winning effort. He has only two extra-base hits in his last 11 games, though his slugging percentage is .547.

  • Dodgers' Enrique Hernandez: Will start Friday

Hernandez is in the lineup for Friday's matchup with the Padres.

Hernandez will start in left field and bat leadoff in Friday's series opener in San Diego. It will be his first start since May 12. He is hitting .242 with two home runs in 39 at-bats against left-handers this season.

  • Padres' Yangervis Solarte: Begins rehab with Triple-A Thursday

Solarte (hamstring) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A El Paso on Thursday, Jeff Sanders of the San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

Solar seems to be ready to test his hamstring in game action after being on the disabled list since early April. If he can get through a few rehab games without issue, he could reclaim his spot as the regular third baseman for the Padres once again. For now, though, Brett Wallace will see some extended playing time at the hot corner.
