  • Dodgers' Enrique Hernandez: Batting just .195/.272/.358

Hernandez struck out as a pinch-hitter Wednesday and is batting just .195/.272/.358 in 123 at-bats.

He does have five home runs, but after batting .307/.346/.490 in 202 at-bats last year, Hernandez has really struggled in sporadic duty this seasonl

Braves' Gordon Beckham: Will begin rehab soon

Beckham is progressing well and is expected to begin a rehab assignment within a few days, David O'Brien of the Atlanta Journal Constitution reports.

Beckham was off to a great start to the season before landing on the disabled list with a hamstring injury. If all goes well in his rehab assignment, he should report back to the Braves within a few weeks. Upon return, Beckham should regain a starting spot at third base. Adonis Garcia and Chase d'Arnaud have underwhelmed in his absence.

  • Amed Rosario 3B | NYY

Mets' Amed Rosario: Gets promoted to Double-A Binghamton

Rosario was called up to Double-A Binghamton on Thursday, Adam Rubin of ESPN reports.

Rosario was hitting .309/.359/.442 with three home runs and 40 RBI in 66 games with High-A St. Lucie at the time of his promotion. The shortstop is one of the key pieces in the Mets' system and looks to be a major contributor in the big leagues one day. He is only 20 years old and will get his second chance at Double-A after earning 10 at-bats with Binghamton last season.

  • Danny Espinosa 2B | NYM

Nationals' Danny Espinosa: Has second straight multi-hit effort Wednesday

Espinosa went 2-for-4 with a double, RBI and a run in Wednesday's 4-3 loss to the Dodgers.

The veteran shortstop has picked it up at the plate in June, with Wednesday's effort representing his fifth multi-hit outing of the month. Espinosa exited May with an average just under the Mendoza Line (.199), but has managed to raise that figure 26 points courtesy of a solid .292/.378/.662 line in June, along with seven homers and 10 RBI.

  • Rockies' Cristhian Adames: Remains in limited role with major league club

Adames is slashing .217/.319/.317 in 60 at-bats this season.

Adames' slash line certainly isn't impressive, and he'll likely have trouble raising any of those numbers considering his highly limited role with the big league club. As long as D.J. LeMahieu, Trevor Story, and Nolan Arenado stay healthy, the switch-hitter will likely continue to sit the bench with regularity.

  • Danny Espinosa 2B | NYM

Nationals' Danny Espinosa: Pops 13th homer Tuesday

Espinosa went 2-for-3 with a walk and a solo home run in Tuesday's loss to the Dodgers.

The homer was his 13th of the season and seventh in the month of June, as Espinosa does everything he can to try and maintain his hold on the starting shortstop job and keep Trea Turner in the minors.

  • Danny Espinosa 2B | NYM

Nationals' Danny Espinosa: Crushes 12th homer of season Sunday

Espinosa went 1-for-3 with a solo homer Sunday at the Padres.

Espinosa's 12th bomb of the season pulled the Nationals to within one run in the fifth inning of a game they'd go on to lose. He's now launched seven homers over his last 17 games, and he's slugging .403 on the season.

  • Diamondbacks' Brandon Drury: Optioned to Triple-A

Drury was optioned to Triple-A Reno following Sunday's victory over the Phillies.

Drury was actually awarded the start Sunday, going 2-for-4 with a double and two runs scored in the effort. He had been losing playing time of late due to the promotion of Peter O'Brien, however, so he had likely been next in line for a demotion if a roster spot was needed. The Diamondbacks have yet to announce a corresponding move, though it will likely come Monday when they activate projected starter Shelby Miller.

  • Padres' Yangervis Solarte: Returns to action Sunday

Solarte (thumb) is back in the lineup Sunday against the Nationals.

Solarte was held out of Saturday's game due to soreness resulting from a bruised thumb, but it sounds as if the discomfort hasn't lingered into the afternoon contest Sunday. He'll bat cleanup in the order and draw the start at third base.

  • Padres' Yangervis Solarte: Still dealing with thumb injury

Solarte's absence from Saturday's lineup was related to his ongoing bruised-thumb soreness, the Associated Press reports. He was healthy enough to pinch hit in the eighth inning.

Solarte's two-run single in the eighth - an opposite-field blooper that found the turf - was a key hit as the Padres rallied for a 7-3 victory over Washington. He remains day-to-day for the moment.
