  • Pirates' Chris Bostick: Officially recalled

Bostick was officially recalled from Triple-A Indianapolis on Monday, Stephen J. Nesbitt of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

As expected, Bostick was added to the Pirates' roster ahead of Monday's series opener against the Dodgers. The 24-year-old was slashing .320/.347/.495 with 11 RBI and three stolen bases at Indy before being promoted to serve as depth for a depleted Pittsburgh roster. Catcher Elias Diaz was optioned to the minors in a corresponding move.

  • Pirates' Chris Bostick: Will be called up Monday

Bostick is expected to be recalled from Triple-A Indianapolis on Monday, Stephen J. Nesbitt of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

This will be Bostick's first sniff of major-league action. The 24-year-old is off to a nice start at Indianapolis, slashing .320/.347/.495 with 11 RBI and three stolen bases. The utility man will provide a much needed boost to the Pirates' bench, which currently has three non-everyday players batting below the Mendoza Line (Alen Hanson, John Jaso and Phil Gosselin). A corresponding roster move should be announced once the move is made official.

  • Adam Frazier 2B | LAA

Pirates' Adam Frazier: Injury lasting longer than expected

Frazier (hamstring) will need to complete a rehab stint before returning to team's active roster, DK Pittsburgh Sports reports.

Pirates general manager Neal Huntington gave no timeframe for Frazier's return. "We'll see where we are this week," Huntington said. The 25-year-old is missing out on an opportunity to see steady playing time. He was eligible to come off the disabled list Wednesday but will likely end up sitting out more than two weeks.

  • Giants' Christian Arroyo: Back in action Sunday

Arroyo (foot) is playing shortstop and batting sixth in the lineup during Sunday's game against the Reds, John Shea of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Arroyo was lifted from Saturday's game early after fouling a ball off his foot during an at-bat. It appears that injury wasn't anything serious as the promising 21-year-old is set to return to action Sunday. He's hitting .250 with three homers and six RBI through his first 48 at-bats.

  • Diamondbacks' Brandon Drury: Gets day off Sunday

Drury is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rockies.

Though Drury has posted a solid .300 average early in the season, his playing time has been a bit spotty recently. After sitting out Thursday's contest, the second baseman will again head to the bench for Sunday's tilt against Tyler Chatwood and the Rockies. The 24-year-old will likely be back in the lineup Tuesday against the Tigers.

  • Giants' Christian Arroyo: Leaves after fouling ball off foot

Arroyo was removed from Saturday's game after hitting a foul ball off his foot, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Arroyo wasn't removed from the game immediately, but he was seen walking back to the clubhouse with an athletic trainer. There's a decent likelihood that his removal was precautionary given how uncompetitive the game was at that time, but more details should emerge following the game's conclusion. Conor Gillaspie took over at the hot corner in his stead.

  • Luis Urias 2B | ATH

Padres' Luis Urias: Raking in Texas League

Urias, 19, is slashing .340/.429/.534 with two home runs, one stolen base and a 15:16 K:BB in 121 plate appearances with Double-A San Antonio.

He ranks sixth in the Texas League in total bases (55), and all five players who rank ahead of him are 22 or older, so it's extremely impressive what he is doing, given his age. His elite approach is well known, as is his hit tool, but what is most impressive is how he has added some power to his game, posting a .194 ISO after notching a .109 mark in the California League last year.

  • Rockies' Cristhian Adames: Outrighted to Triple-A

Adames was outrighted to Triple-A Albuquerque on Friday, the Associated Press reports.

The infielder will remain in the organization after clearing waivers following the Rockies' decision to designate him for assignment last Sunday. Adames went 0-for-13 at the dish while appearing in 12 games for the Rockies.

  • Giants' Christian Arroyo: Crushes third homer of season

Arroyo went 1-for-4 with a solo homer in Friday's loss to the Reds.

Arroyo launched his third home run of the season to draw the Giants within two runs in a losing effort. Although the homers have provided a decent start to his season, the statistics in all of the other hitting categories make him a player who should be left on the waiver wire in most fantasy leagues.

  • Logan Forsythe 2B | LAD

Dodgers' Logan Forsythe: Will resume rehab after weekend

Forsythe (hamstring) will resume his rehab following the weekend, Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times reports Friday.

Forsythe still felt feeling hamstring tightness when he began his rehab Wednesday. He was expected to need three games and return over the weekend. Instead, if the Dodgers continue with the original three-game rehab plan, Forsythe will likely return late next week in Colorado. Forsythe had a nifty .295/.407/.341 batting line before his injury and will have a place in the Dodgers lineup upon his return.
