Gavin Lux SS | TB
Dodgers' Gavin Lux: Heads to bench
Lux is not starting Tuesday against Baltimore.
Lux started six straight games after earning his first big-league callup last week. He hit just 3-for-20 in those games, though it goes without saying the sample size is far too small to jump to any conclusions about his future. All six of his starts came against righties, but he'll sit against lefty Ty Blach on Tuesday. Enrique Hernandez starts at second base in his absence.

Nico Hoerner 2B | CHC
Cubs' Nico Hoerner: Shines in big-league debut
Hoerner went 3-for-5 with a triple, two runs and four RBI in his big-league debut Monday in San Diego.
Hoerner would not even be in the majors if the Cubs hadn't been decimated by injuries at shortstop, but he made the most of his opportunity in his first game. The Cubs fans traveled well and were cheering on the top prospect throughout his excellent debut. Not only did he impress at the dish, but he made some excellent plays at shortstop and scored from third on a heads-up baserunning play. If he continues to produce, he could displace Addison Russell (head) even when the latter is healthy.

Gavin Lux SS | TB
Dodgers' Gavin Lux: Earns MiLB Player of the Year award
Lux was named the Minor League Player of the Year by Baseball America on Monday.
The prestigious award is the crowning achievement of a spectacular season in which Lux slashed .347/.421/.607 with 26 home runs, 76 RBI and 10 stolen bases in 113 games between Double-A Tulsa and Triple-A Oklahoma City. His overall brilliance also earned Lux a September callup to the Dodgers, though he is hitting only .150 in 20 at-bats in the majors.

Adam Frazier 2B | LAA
Pirates' Adam Frazier: Sitting Monday
Frazier isn't in the starting lineup for Monday's game against the Giants.
Frazier is in line for a night off after taking the collar in Sunday's series finale against St. Louis (0-for-3). Kevin Newman draws the start at the keystone and will hit leadoff.

Nico Hoerner 2B | CHC
Cubs' Nico Hoerner: Gets call to big leagues
The Cubs will call up Hoerner from Double-A Tennessee ahead of Monday's game against the Padres, Jon Heyman of MLB Network reports. He's starting at shortstop and hitting sixth in his big-league debut.
Hoerner is one of the top prospects in the Cubs' farm system, but the 22-year-old wasn't expected to make his big-league debut until 2020 before late-season injuries to Javier Baez (wrist) and Addison Russell (head) decimated the team's depth at shortstop. Expect Hoerner to immediately step in as the Cubs' everyday option at the position while the aforementioned two players are unavailable, but he shouldn't be counted on to provide a major fantasy impact in his first taste of the majors. Hoerner boasts strong bat-to-ball skills and could deliver a useful batting average in September, but he's unlikely to offer much counting-stats production while presumably occupying a spot near the bottom of the order.

Ketel Marte 2B | ARI
Diamondbacks' Ketel Marte: Flexing muscle
Marte went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Sunday's 4-3 loss to the Reds.
Marte's sixth-inning blast gave the Diamondbacks a lead the bullpen would later give away. He has four homers and 14 RBI over the last six games. Marte has hit safely in his last 18 starts, posting a .427/,469/.853 slash line with eight home runs and 23 RBI dating back to Aug. 14.

Luis Guillorme 3B | HOU
Mets' Luis Guillorme: Seeing scant action
Guillorme is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Phillies.
Since being called up from Triple-A Syracuse on Aug. 5, Guillorme has made just five starts for the Mets. He'll likely see most of his usage as a late-inning defensive replacement or pinch hitter throughout the season's final month.

Mauricio Dubon SS | ATL
Giants' Mauricio Dubon: Records first major-league steal
Dubon went 1-for-3 with a stolen base and a walk in Saturday's 1-0 win over the Dodgers.
Dubon lined a single in the ninth inning and put himself in scoring position with his first stolen base in the big leagues, but the Giants were unable to bring him home. The infielder has a career success rate of 71.9 percent (128-for-178) over seven seasons in the minors. Dubon is hitting .321/.345/.607 in his first 10 major-league games between the Brewers and Giants this year.

Isan Diaz 2B | DET
Marlins' Isan Diaz: Resting Saturday
Diaz is not in the lineup Saturday against the Royals, Andre Fernandez of The Athletic reports.
Diaz has moved into a clear starting role at second base down the stretch, though his numbers don't necessarily suggest that he deserves one, as he's hitting just .150/.259/.230 in 28 games. Starlin Castro will slide to second in his absence, with Jon Berti starting at third.

Ozzie Albies 2B | ATL
Braves' Ozzie Albies: Smacks 20th homer
Albies went 2-for-4 with a double and a solo home run in Friday's 4-3 win over the Nationals.
He's now the third member of the Atlanta infield to reach 20 homers this season. Albies hadn't gone deep since Aug. 24, but he's been plenty productive lately, slashing .361/.477/.611 over his last 10 games with six doubles, five RBI, 10 runs, two steals and an 8:6 BB:K in addition to Friday's home run.
