Lopez went 2-for-4 with a double and three RBI in Sunday's 9-8 win over the Indians in 10 innings.

Lopez's two-run double in the eighth inning looked like it would provide plenty of cushion for the Royals, but the bullpen squandered a five-run advantage before Ryan O'Hearn's solo blast won it for Kansas City in extras. Though Lopez is holding down an everyday role, don't expect much consistent impact from him as a run producer. He had driven in only 12 runs in 34 games since the All-Star break before tying his career high with the three RBI in the series finale.

Altuve went 2-for-5 with a home run, a double, two RBI and two runs scored in Sunday's 11-2 win over the Angels.

A close game turned into a rout when the Astros plated seven runs in the eighth inning as Altuve's two-run blast capped the scoring. It was his 24th home run, tying his previous career high set in 2016 (he did it again in 2017).

Manager Alex Cora said the Red Sox wouldn't activate Chavis (shoulder) from the 10-day injured list during the club's two-game set in Colorado that begins Tuesday, Pete Abraham of The Boston Globe reports.

Chavis began a rehab assignment at Triple-A Pawtucket on Friday and played back-to-back days, going 3-for-7 with a pair of doubles between the two contests. Though Chavis was only shut down for around two weeks before heading to the minors, the Red Sox apparently want him to get in some more at-bats at Triple-A before bringing him back as their everyday second baseman. Chavis could be activated from the IL in advance of Boston's series with the Angels next weekend.

Forsythe will start at third base and bat seventh Sunday against the White Sox.

He'll be making his seventh consecutive start, which includes six straight turns at the hot corner. Injuries to Nomar Mazara (oblique), Joey Gallo (wrist) and Hunter Pence (back) have indirectly opened up playing time for Forsythe lately, but he'll be one of the Rangers most vulnerable to losing work once any of three banged-up players return to action.

Semien went 2-for-4 with an RBI single, a walk and a run in a loss to the Giants on Saturday.

Semien did his part out of the top of the order, extending his hitting streak to seven games with his third multi-hit tally over that stretch. The 28-year-old is now hitting .293 (22-for-75) during August and has double-digit RBI (10) for the third consecutive month.

Rengifo went 1-for-2 with a solo home run and two walks in Saturday's loss to Houston.

Rengifo launched a 425-foot homer to left center field in the fifth inning to plate the Angels' first run. The rookie is slashing .243/.329/.372 with six long balls and 30 RBI in 354 plate appearances this season.

Joseph is not in the starting lineup Saturday against the Giants. Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.

Jurickson Profar will start at second base and bat eighth against left-hander Madison Bumgarner. Joseph is hitless in his last 13 plate appearances and now owns a .192/.185/.308 slash line in seven games since he was promoted to the majors Aug. 14. The 30-year-old infielder has yet to start a game against a lefty.

Lopez is out of the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Indians.

Whit Merrifield will slide over to second base as Cheslor Cuthbert will start at third base and hit fifth against right-hander Mike Clevinger. Lopez had made nine straight starts, going 9-for-28 with a home run, four RBI, and three runs scored over that span. The left-handed-hitting middle infielder is slashing .213/.247/.290 in 234 plate appearances against righties.

Chavis (shoulder) started at first base and went 0-for-3 for Triple-A Pawtucket on Friday.

Chavis kicked off his rehab assignment Friday and will remain with the PawSox through the weekend, per Ian Browne of MLB.com. There's a chance he could join the Red Sox in Colorado on Tuesday for their upcoming series with the Rockies. Chavis has been sidelined with a sprained AC joint in his left shoulder since Aug. 12.

Rodriguez went 3-for-5 with his first career grand slam and a second run scored in Friday's 9-6 win over the Twins.

His sixth-inning blast effectively chased Jose Berrios from the game and gave the Tigers a lead they wouldn't relinquish. Rodriguez is red hot right now, starting six straight games and slashing .364/.417/.773 with three homers and six RBI, and with Niko Goodrum (groin) landing on the injured list Friday, there should be plenty of playing time available for the 27-year-old moving forward.
