Orioles' Jahmai Jones: Designated for assignment
Jones (elbow) was designated for assignment by the Orioles on Saturday.
Jones has been at Triple-A Norfolk to begin the season, but he underwent Tommy John surgery Friday and will likely miss the rest of the year. The 24-year-old will cede his spot on the 40-man roster but will likely remain in the organization if he goes unclaimed on waivers.

Royals' Nicky Lopez: Snatches fourth steal
Lopez went 3-for-4 with a walk, a run scored, an RBI and a stolen base in Friday's 10-7 loss to the Twins.

Andy Ibanez 2B | NYM
Rangers' Andy Ibanez: Delivers game-winning knock
Ibanez went 1-for-1 with a two-run single and scored a run in Friday's 8-5 win over the Athletics.
Ibanez, who had just two hits over his previous 43 at-bats (.047), stepped in as a pinch hitter for Eli White in the ninth inning of an even game and delivered a go-ahead two-run single. He later came around to score an insurance run. Ibanez is typically out of the starting lineup against lefties, as was the case Wednesday and Friday. With Oakland southpaw Zach Logue the projected starter Saturday, Ibanez figures to be on the bench for the third time in four games.

Semien has gone 12-for-37 (.324) with four steals over his last nine games, raising his season slash line to .193/.246/.251 through 43 games.

Jahmai Jones 2B | DET
Orioles' Jahmai Jones: Undergoes Tommy John surgery
Jones (elbow) underwent successful Tommy John surgery Friday, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.
Jones was placed on the 7-day minor-league injured list in mid-May due to right elbow inflammation, and he'll miss significant time following Friday's procedure. While position players don't usually require as much recovery time following Tommy John surgery, he'll require several months to recover, and it seems likely that he'll be sidelined for the remainder of the 2022 season.
