    France's third-inning long ball was his first since Aug. 23 and gave Seattle a 3-0 lead. He then scored the team's final run after reaching on a hit-by-pitch in the seventh. The 27-year-old has emerged as a solid fantasy asset this season, slashing .293/.366/.446 with 17 homers, 65 RBI and 77 runs across 142 games.

    Alonso went 1-for-5 with a solo homer in Wednesday's 12-5 loss to the Red Sox.

    After homering in Tuesday's loss to Boston, Alonso made it back-to-back nights with a long ball when he took Adam Ottavino deep Wednesday. This latest homer adds to the first baseman's peculiar home and away splits. On the road, Alonso is hitting .289 with 25 home runs. Within the confines of Citi Field, the 26-year-old is hitting just .230 with 10 home runs. This works for fantasy managers, as the Mets play six of their final 10 games away from Queens.

    Goldschmidt went 3-for-4 with a single, a double, a home run, two RBI and four runs scored in Wednesday's 10-2 win over the Brewers.

    Goldschmidt terrorized Milwaukee pitching once again Wednesday night, falling a triple shy of the cycle and recording his 13th game with three or more hits this season. In 47 career games played in Milwaukee, the Cardinals' first baseman is hitting .341 with 15 home runs. It's gotta be the bratwurst.

    Brewers' Rowdy Tellez: Participates in on-field work

    Tellez (kneecap) participated in infield drills ahead of Wednesday's game against the Cardinals, Will Sammon of The Athletic reports.

    Tellez has been on the injured list since Sept. 12 due to a strained right patella, but he's now participating in baseball activities. A better timetable for his return should be revealed once he ramps up his activity level, but it wouldn't be surprising to see him rejoin the major-league roster late in the regular season or sometime during the postseason.

    Yankees' Anthony Rizzo: Not in Wednesday's lineup

    Rizzo isn't starting Wednesday's game against the Rangers.

    Rizzo started each of the last three games and went 4-for-9 with three runs, an RBI and a walk. Luke Voit will start at first base and bat second.

    Red Sox's Bobby Dalbec: Riding pine Wednesday

    Dalbec isn't starting Wednesday's game against the Mets, Chris Cotillo of The Springfield Republican reports.

    Dalbec will get a breather after he went 4-for-10 with two doubles, three RBI and a run across the last three games. Kyle Schwarber will shift to first base while Jose Iglesias enters the lineup at the keystone.

    Athletics' Matt Olson: Homers again Tuesday

    Olson went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Tuesday's 5-2 loss to the Mariners.

    Olson homered off Marco Gonzales in the first inning, putting the Athletics in the lead. It was his fifth home run in his last 10 games. The 27-year-old is slashing .274/.372/.549 with 37 homers, 104 RBI and 97 runs scored in 624 plate appearances this season.

    Diamondbacks' Kole Calhoun: Expected to start Wednesday

    Arizona manager Torey Lovullo expects to start Calhoun in right field Wednesday, Nick Piecoro of the Arizona Republic reports.

    Calhoun has yet to start in the field since coming off the injured list last Friday. He served as the designated hitter for three games over the weekend while the Diamondbacks were in Houston.

    Rockies' C.J. Cron: Racks up three hits Tuesday

    Cron went 3-for-5 with two doubles, a run and two RBI in Tuesday's loss to the Dodgers.

    The first baseman keyed Colorado's offensive output in the loss, knocking home a run with a double in the fourth inning and repeating the feat in the the sixth. The performance was his second multi-hit effort in his past three games following a four-game stretch during which he went 0-for-11. Cron's first season in Colorado has been arguably the best of his big-league tenure, as he is slashing .271/.368/.526 with 27 homers and a career-high 85 RBI.

    Mets' Pete Alonso: Smacks 34th homer

    Alonso went 1-for-3 with a walk and a solo home run Tuesday against the Red Sox.

    Alonso took Garrett Richards yard in the eighth inning record his 34th homer of the season. It was Alonso's fifth home run across 19 games in September, and he's also chipped in six doubles and two triples. Though his power totals won't reach the heights of the 2019 season, Alonso has maintained a .253 ISO while striking out at just a 20.3 percent clip across 591 plate appearances.
