  • Matt Olson 1B | ATL

Braves' Matt Olson: Shows power in loss

Olson went 4-for-5 with a home run, two doubles and four RBI in Tuesday's 8-7 extra-inning loss to Arizona.

Olson put Atlanta ahead 3-2 in the fourth inning with a two-run homer, followed by a two-run double in the fifth. The first baseman has four multi-hit efforts in his last 13 games, going 15-for-49 (.306) in that span. The slugger is up to a solid .263/.373/.484 slash line with seven homers, 21 RBI, 21 runs scored and 23 doubles through 50 contests.

  • Diamondbacks' Christian Walker: Clubs 13th homer

Walker went 3-for-4 with a home run, a double, three RBI and a walk in Tuesday's 8-7 extra-inning win over Atlanta.

Walker opened the scoring with a two-run homer in the first inning, and he added an RBI double in the sixth. This was the first baseman's first three-hit game this season, and his ninth multi-hit effort. He's hovered around the Mendoza Line for much of the last two weeks, with his season slash line at .208/.301/.480 in 49 contests. He's added 13 homers, 25 RBI, 24 runs scored and eight doubles.

  • Keston Hiura 2B | LAD

Brewers' Keston Hiura: Steals base Tuesday

Hiura went 0-for-2 with a walk, a hit-by-pitch, a stolen base and a run scored in an 8-7 loss Tuesday against the Cubs.

Hiura walked and swiped second base in the second inning. He was plunked in the sixth and came around to score on a Victor Caratini homer. Since returning from Triple-A, Hiura has reached base safely in each of his eight starts and has compiled a .269/.424/.615 line in those games. Tuesday was his first start at second base since April 30 and could be a sign that Milwaukee will find more playing time for the 25-year-old moving forward.

  • Ty France 1B | SD

Mariners' Ty France: Two hits, RBI in win

France went 2-for-3 with an RBI, a run and a walk in Tuesday's win over the Orioles.

France walked and scored in the first inning before adding another single in the next frame and an RBI base knock in the top of the third. The multi-hit effort was his third in the past four games and his hitting streak has now reached 12 straight contests. Over that stretch, France has batted .447 with two homers, 11 RBI and eight runs.

  • Kody Clemens 1B | MIN

Tigers' Kody Clemens: Hitless in MLB debut

Clemens went 0-for-3 with a walk in the second game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Twins.

Clemens was called up from Triple-A Toledo on Monday and waited until the second game Tuesday to make his MLB debut. The 26-year-old replaced Robbie Grossman (neck) on the active roster, with the latter hitting the 10-day injured list Monday. Clemens will likely occupy a bench role while he's in the majors, which limits his fantasy potential for the time being.

  • Kole Calhoun 1B | CLE

Rangers' Kole Calhoun: Starts vs. LHP after three-RBI game

Calhoun will start in right field and bat cleanup in Tuesday's game against the Rays.

Not only will the lefty-hitting Calhoun stick in the lineup even with a southpaw (Ryan Yarbrough) on the bump for Tampa Bay, but he'll find himself in a prime run-producing spot. Calhoun's inclusion in the starting nine in an unfavorable matchup is a testament to just how much his stock has climbed after a miserable April had previously put him at risk of moving into a part-time role. After plating three more runs and reaching base three times in Monday's 9-5 win, Calhoun is now sitting on a monstrous 1.057 OPS in May heading into the final game of the month.

  • Nate Lowe DH | CIN

Rangers' Nathaniel Lowe: Riding pine against lefty

Lowe is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Rays.

After going a collective 7-for-19 with three extra-base hits while starting in each of the past five games, the lefty-hitting Lowe will exit the lineup with southpaw Ryan Yarbrough on the hill for Tampa Bay. Sam Huff steps in for Lowe at first base.

  • Blue Jays' Vladimir Guerrero: Cleared to start Tuesday

Guerrero (wrist) will start at first base and bat third in Tuesday's game against the White Sox.

Guerrero was on the bench for Sunday's 11-10 win over the Angels while he contended with a sore left wrist, but he felt well enough to make a pinch-hitting appearance in the Blue Jays' victory. With the benefit of an off day Monday, Guerrero's wrist no longer looks to be much of a concern as the Blue Jays kick off a six-game homestand.

  • Dominic Smith DH | ATL

Mets' Dominic Smith: Optioned to Triple-A

Smith was optioned to Triple-A Syracuse on Tuesday.

Smith has struggled mightily in a part-time role this season, hitting .186/.287/.256. Add in his numbers from a disappointing 2021 campaign and he now owns an 83 wRC+ over the last two seasons, a far cry from the 150 wRC+ he managed from 2019 to 2020 and nowhere close to a good enough mark for a defensively limited player like Smith. He'll try to get back on track with regular playing time in the minors, freeing up more at-bats for J.D. Davis, Luis Guillorme and Nick Plummer.

  • Josh Naylor 1B | SEA

Guardians' Josh Naylor: Idle versus lefty

Naylor is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Royals.

With southpaw Daniel Lynch on the hill for Kansas City, the Guardians will counter with a lineup that includes eight right-handed-hitting options while the lefty-hitting Naylor and Steven Kwan head to the bench. Owen Miller will fill in for Naylor at first base, while Jose Ramirez gets a day out of the field and serves as Cleveland's designated hitter.
