Luke Voit 1B | NYM
Nationals' Luke Voit: Back in action Tuesday
Voit (back) is starting at first base and hitting third Tuesday in Seattle.
He was out of the lineup for a few games with a back issue, but Voit is ready for this two-game series against the Mariners. Voit is hitting .212/.339/.385 with three home runs in 17 games since getting traded to Washington.

Alex Kirilloff LF | MIN
Twins' Alex Kirilloff: Moves to 60-day IL
The Twins transferred Kirilloff (wrist) from the 10-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Tuesday, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.
Kirilloff has already been ruled out for the season after undergoing surgery earlier this month to shorten the ulnar bone in his right wrist and clean up scar tissue, so his move to the 60-day IL is merely procedural. The transaction clears a spot on the 40-man roster for right-hander Aaron Sanchez, whose contract was selected from Triple-A St. Paul ahead of his scheduled start Tuesday in Houston.

Vinnie Pasquantino 1B | KC
Royals' Vinnie Pasquantino: Goes on IL with shoulder discomfort
Kansas City placed Pasquantino on the 10-day injured list Tuesday with right shoulder discomfort.
The Royals won't mess around with this injury to one of their best young players. As it is still being labeled as discomfort, this could be a short-term absence. He is eligible to return Sept. 2 in Detroit.

Elehuris Montero 1B | COL
Rockies' Elehuris Montero: Riding pine Tuesday
Montero is not in Tuesday's lineup against the Rangers, Patrick Lyons of TheDNVR.com reports.
It's always unfortunate when a Rockies regular takes a seat for a home game, and that will be the case with Montero in this one. He is hitting .279/.300/.559 with four home runs, 20 strikeouts and one walk in 18 games this month.

Andrew Vaughn 1B | MIL
White Sox's Andrew Vaughn: Gets Tuesday off
Vaughn is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game in Baltimore, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
Vaughn isn't believed to be dealing with any sort of injury, but he'll find himself on the bench for the second time in three games in any case while manager Tony La Russa clears a spot in the corner outfield for Gavin Sheets. Dating back to the start of August, Vaughn has been one of Chicago's most productive hitters with a .311/.362/.500 slash line over a stretch of 19 games.

P.J. Higgins 1B | CIN
Cubs' P.J. Higgins: Filling in for banged-up Wisdom
Higgins will start at first base and bat eighth in the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader with the Cardinals.
With Patrick Wisdom (finger) on the bench for the third straight contest, Higgins will stick in the lineup for the seventh time in eight contests. Despite getting ample playing time of late, Higgins hasn't gotten going at the plate. He's gone 2-for-22 with a home run, three RBI and nine strikeouts over the Cubs' last seven contests.

Ryan O'Hearn RF | PIT
Royals' Ryan O'Hearn: Collects two hits
O'Hearn went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored in Monday's 6-4 win over the White Sox.
O'Hearn hadn't been in the lineup since July 28, but he got the start at designated hitter Monday. The Royals have opted to give playing time to a large number of rookies since the trade deadline, so O'Hearn remains little more than a bench bat at this point in the season. The 29-year-old is slashing .223/.282/.309 with one home run, 11 RBI and eight runs scored through 103 plate appearances, though he has hit safely in three of the last five games in which he's recorded an at-bat.

Darick Hall 1B | PIT
Phillies' Darick Hall: Headed to Triple-A
Hall was optioned to Triple-A Lehigh Valley following Monday's game against the Reds, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.
Hall has struggled to see consistent at-bats of late, recording just four at-bats since Wednesday. Since he's limited to first base and designated hitter, Hall's playing time was destined to dwindle further once Bryce Harper (thumb) likely makes his return from the 60-day injured list next week. Per Gelb, Hall should be back in the big leagues once rosters expand Sept. 2, but the rookie will head to the minors to stay sharp in the meantime.

Alec Bohm 3B | PHI
Phillies' Alec Bohm: Shouldn't miss time
Bohm (undisclosed) felt fine after being removed early from Monday's game against the Reds, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.
Bohm looked to be removed from the contest due to a lower-body injury, but after the game, skipper Rob Thomson stated he decided to pull the third baseman to go with better speed on the bases. Bohm should be ready to roll for Tuesday's matchup.
