France entered Wednesday's game in the eighth inning and went 0-for-1 in a 13-4 loss to the Cubs.

France made his debut for the Reds, playing the final two innings at first base. He was acquired by the Reds on Monday, presumably to be a starter at first base, but he was not used Tuesday or Wednesday despite being in the team's dugout.

Pasquantino went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run and an additional RBI in Wednesday's 10-3 win over the White Sox.

Pasquantino hit an RBI single in the first inning before adding a two-run homer in the ninth. The long ball was his first since July 6, though the first baseman was still productive by batting .309 with 10 RBI over the 17 contests between homers. For the season, he's up to a .262/.320/.429 slash line with 12 homers, 72 RBI, 46 runs scored, 24 doubles and no stolen bases across 105 games.

Olson went 2-for-4 with a walk and two solo home runs in Wednesday's 6-2 win over the Brewers.

The slugger took Freddy Peralta deep in the fourth inning before clobbering a Nick Mears offering in the eighth. Travis d'Arnaud followed up each blast with a homer of his own, as they became the third pair of Atlanta teammates to go back-to-back twice in a game -- Fred McGriff and David Justice accomplished the feat in 1993, with Javy Lopez and Andruw Jones also doing it in 1998. Olson's first multi-homer performance of 2024 comes as part of a hot streak that has seen him bat .290 (9-for-31) over the last eight games with four long balls and six RBI.

Tellez isn't in the Pirates' lineup Wednesday versus Houston.

Left-hander Framber Valdez will start on the mound for the Astros on Wednesday, meaning the lefty-hitting Tellez will head to the bench to begin the game. Connor Joe will get the nod at first base and bat third.

Canha isn't in the Giants' lineup for Wednesday's game against the Athletics, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports.

Canha was traded from Detroit to San Francisco on Tuesday, but he will have to wait until Friday to make his Giants debut in Cincinnati. Marco Luciano will start as the designated hitter Wednesday while Brett Wisely starts at second base.

Busch is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Reds.

Busch will be joined on the bench by fellow left-handed hitter Mike Tauchman while the Reds send southpaw Nick Lodolo to the hill. Patrick Wisdom will cover first base in Busch's stead.

Cronenworth is absent from the lineup for Wednesday's contest against the Dodgers.

Left-hander Clayton Kershaw will be the starting pitcher for the Dodgers, offering an opportunity for the lefty-hitting Cronenworth to get a little rest. Donovan Solano will play first base for the Padres.

Bauers is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against Atlanta.

With starts in each of the past four games, Bauers' opportunities have picked up of late in the wake of Christian Yelich (back) landing on the injured list. Bauers will likely continue to sit regularly against left-handed pitchers, however, and he finds himself on the bench Wednesday while southpaw Chris Sale takes the hill for Atlanta.

Turner started at first base in his Mariners debut Tuesday, going 1-for-5 with a run-scoring single and an RBI groundout during a 10-6 win over the Red Sox.

Acquired via trade from the Blue Jays a day earlier, Turner wasted no time making his mark in a Mariners uniform and simultaneously doing damage against one of his old clubs. The 39-year-old has been of baseball's steadier hitters over the last decade-plus, and after atypically struggling most of the season, he's now hitting a blistering .500 (14-for-28) over his last seven games dating back to July 23, a surge that's raised his average and OPS by 28 and 52 points, respectively.

The Rays optioned Shenton to Triple-A Durham on Wednesday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Shenton was up in the majors for one day and didn't see any action. He'll head to Durham to clear room on the 26-man active roster for Dylan Carlson, who was acquired Tuesday via trade from the Cardinals.
