Freeman went 2-for-5 with a solo home run Thursday in a 5-3 win against Colorado.

Freeman accounted for the Dodgers' final run of the contest with his fourth-inning solo shot to center field. The veteran first baseman is up to 11 long balls on the season, with five of them coming in June. Freeman has added to his standout month with a .354 average, 12 RBI, 17 runs, two stolen bases and a 14:10 BB:K through 18 games.

Diaz went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run Thursday against the Twins.

Diaz collected two hits, including his fifth homer of the season, to extend his hitting streak to 13 games and his on-base streak to 22 games. He's batting .351 over the course of the hit streak, though he has just one home run, one double, four RBI and six runs scored to show for his efforts.

Santana went 3-for-5 with a solo home run, double and an additional run scored Thursday against the Rays.

Santana extended his modest hit streak to six games and posted his second three-hit game of the season while blasting his 12th home run Thursday. The 38-year-old has found the fountain of youth in June, going 20-for-55 (.364) with four homers, five doubles, 15 RBI, 10 runs and a couple of steals through 16 games this month.

Mountcastle went 3-for-6 with two doubles, four RBI and three runs scored in Thursday's win over the Yankees while also drawing a walk.

Mountcastle increased Baltimore's lead to six runs with a three-run double in the second before also coming around to score later in the frame. He would go on to reach base four times in the game while also driving in another run, matching his season high with four RBI. The first baseman has now recorded multiple hits in back-to-back contests and extended his hitting streak to five games with Thursday's performance.

Rice is not in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Orioles.

Rice started at first base in each of his first two games after being promoted, going 2-for-7 with a walk. He'll begin this one on the bench, with DJ LeMahieu handling the cold corner and Oswaldo Cabrera the hot corner.

Alonso went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run Wednesday in a loss to the Rangers.

Alonso gave New York a two-run lead with his blast to center field in the sixth inning, but Texas was able to mount a comeback and pull off the victory. The long ball continued a hot stretch for the first baseman, as he's in the midst of a five-game hitting streak during which he's batted .391 (9-for-23) with two homers and 10 RBI. Alonso is up to 16 home runs and 42 RBI on the campaign along with 42 runs and a .243/.321/.475 slash line.

Toglia went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run, a triple and two total runs scored in Wednesday's 7-6 win over the Dodgers.

Toglia is finding a rhythm at the plate, going 13-for-47 (.277) over 13 games since he was recalled from Triple-A Albuquerque on June 6. Five of his 13 hits in that span have gone for extra bases. The 25-year-old is up to a .191/.239/.436 slash line with six homers, 20 RBI, 14 runs scored, one stolen base, two triples and one double through 101 plate appearances this season. Toglia is playing on a near-everyday basis, splitting his time between first base and right field.

Naylor went 3-for-4 with two home runs and four RBI in Wednesday's 8-0 win over the Mariners.

Naylor opened the scoring with an RBI single in the first inning. He then added a two-run home run in the fifth and a solo homer in the seventh. Naylor has hit safely in six of his last seven games, going 10-for-26 with three homers and seven RBI. While Naylor's current .237 average is well below last year's .308 mark, he has a .272 expected batting average and is just one homer shy of tying his career high of 20 in 2022.

The Brewers recalled Black from Triple-A Nashville on Wednesday.

Black played in seven games for the Brewers earlier in the season but was sent back to Nashville on May 8 after going just 5-for-22 (.227) at the plate. Since returning to Triple-A, the 23-year-old infielder has slashed .255/.354/.473 with five homers, 23 RBI and eight stolen bases. He doesn't have a clear path to playing time due to Rhys Hoskins and Joey Ortiz being comfortably locked into everyday roles at first and third base, respectively, but Black's speed makes him a viable pinch runner, and he may be used occasionally against right-handers to give one of the usual starters a day off. Oliver Dunn was optioned to Nashville in a corresponding move.

The Yankees transferred Rizzo (forearm) from the 10-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Wednesday.

The veteran first baseman is expected to be sidelined eight weeks after he landed on the 15-day injured list Tuesday with a fractured right forearm, so the move to the 60-day IL doesn't come as a major surprise. Rizzo will be shut down from baseball activities for up to five weeks. Gerrit Cole (elbow) was activated from the 60-day IL in a corresponding transaction and is making his season debut Wednesday against the Orioles.
