Hiura has missed the past three games after getting hit on the shoulder by a pitch Sunday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

The top prospect is already limited to DH duty due to a lingering elbow problem, but the team doesn't seem to be overly concerned by this new issue. His shoulder reportedly just tightened up on him the last couple days. Hiura is expected to return to the lineup for High-A Carolina on Thursday night, though he'll likely be limited to acting as the DH for a bit longer.

Rizzo (back) spent time in the batting cage Thursday, Carrie Muskat of MLB.com reports.

Rizzo should be back in action when he's eligible to return from the DL on Monday prior to the series opener against St. Louis. In his place, Victor Caratini has picked up a few starts at first base while Ben Zobrist will get the nod during Thursday's game versus Pittsburgh.

Goldschmidt went 2-for-4 with a home run, a double and three RBI in Wednesday's 7-3 win over the Giants.

With four extra-base hits in his last three games and home runs in back-to-back contests, Goldschmidt finally seems to be waking from his season-long slumber. It's particularly encouraging that Goldschmidt, who entered the series with a meager .100/.341/.133 slash line and a career-worst 26.8 percent strikeout rate, managed to break out at San Francisco's AT&T Park, a notoriously pitcher-friendly venue. Dodger Stadium is certainly no hitter's haven either -- especially with Kenta Maeda, Rich Hill and Clayton Kershaw slated to start the next three games for Los Angeles -- but Goldschmidt's strong showing in San Francisco should give fantasy owners confidence in him heading into a trio of tough matchups this weekend.

Kirilloff hit two home runs and had six RBI in Wednesday's win over Peoria for Low-A Cedar Rapids. He's hitting .273 with a .852 OPS in five games.

Kirlloff, the 15th overall pick in the 2016 draft, missed the 2017 season after undergoing Tommy John surgery. He's playing in the outfield and back to full strength. His strong first week shows he could advance rapidly as he doesn't appear to have much rust from the lost season.

Calhoun went 3-for-5 with two runs scored and two RBI in Wednesday's 7-2 win over the Rangers.

After getting his first day off of the season Tuesday, Calhoun jumped right back into the fray and extended his hit streak to five games. The 30-year-old has a sluggish .255/.283/.353 slash line through 12 contests, but his seven RBI and nine runs have allowed him to maintain solid fantasy value.

Olson is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Dodgers.

After starting each of the team's first 12 games, Olson will head to the bench for the first time all season as the A's face a tough lefty in Alex Wood. The 24-year-old is hitting a respectable .256/.347/.395 with two homers through 49 plate appearances. In his stead, Mark Canha will start at first base and hit second.

Hoskins is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Reds, Meghan Montemurro of The Athletic reports.

Hoskins receives a standard day of rest following seven straight games in the lineup as Scott Kingery draws a start in left field for the series finale. Over the first couple weeks of the year, Hoskins is hitting .375/.500/.719 with two home runs, nine RBI and two stolen bases.

White (groin) made his full-season debut Tuesday for High-A Modesto, going 0-for-4 with a walk, a run and a strikeout.

He was slowed out of spring training by a groin injury, but didn't miss much time. It is also news that he was assigned to High-A -- a big jump for the 21-year-old first baseman, who only played in the Northwest League last year after getting drafted by the Mariners in the first round. White is a unique first base prospect, as he is a plus runner with debatable power. If he impresses with his power stroke in the California League, his dynasty league stock will steadily increase this season.

Goldschmidt went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, two runs and a walk in Arizona's 5-4 loss to the Giants on Tuesday.

Goldschmidt finally picked up his first long ball of the season and did so in dramatic fashion with a game-tying solo shot off Hunter Strickland in the ninth inning. There's no denying it's been a rough start for the perennial All-Star first baseman and he's still hitting just .158. However, he's managed to walk 11 times to keep his on-base percentage at a respectable .360 through the struggles and he's got a triple and three runs scored over his past two games in addition to the homer. When he gets it rolling, few can provide the same type of cross-category production that Goldschmidt offers, so hopefully Tuesday's homer is a sign he's ready to get back to his old tricks.

Bour went 2-for-5 with two home runs, four RBI and two runs scored Tuesday against the Mets.

Bour entered the game with just one extra-base hit in 11 games this season but provided some punch on Tuesday with two home runs, both of which came off right-handed pitching. The slow start has done nothing to quell fears about his ability to produce given the lineup surrounding him, but his performance is a reminder of the power he is capable of producing single-handedly.
