Bour went 2-for-5 with two home runs, four RBI and two runs scored Tuesday against the Mets.

Bour entered the game with just one extra-base hit in 11 games this season but provided some punch on Tuesday with two home runs, both of which came off right-handed pitching. The slow start has done nothing to quell fears about his ability to produce given the lineup surrounding him, but his performance is a reminder of the power he is capable of producing single-handedly.

Flores went 2-for-5 with a home run, double, run scored and two RBI Tuesday against the Marlins.

Flores got the start at first base and batted third with left-hander Caleb Smith on the mound for the Marlins, but his damage came on a home run against right-hander Kyle Barraclough. He is known for crushing left-handed pitching, but has posted just a .385 slugging percentage against right-handed pitching over his past three seasons. He's gotten inconsistent playing time as a result, with the start of this season being no different. Given that he entered the game 1-for-7 against right-handers, it doesn't appear he is in for a breakout season, but if he starts to hit for power against same-side pitching, he may be worth paying attention to in shallower formats.

Cabrera went 2-for-4 with two solo home runs Tuesday against the Marlins.

After hitting his first home run of the season Sunday, Cabrera homered from both sides of the plate Tuesday. His first came in the fourth inning off left-hander Caleb Smith and his second in the eighth inning off right-hander Kyle Barraclough. He has proven over the past few seasons that he can still hit for power as a right-handed batter, but posted only a .407 slugging percentage from the left side of the plate last season. However, he already has four extra-base hits this season as a left-handed batter, which could make him an underrated source of power in the early going.

Abreu went 2-for-5 with a double, a home run and three RBI in Tuesday's 6-5 loss to the Rays.

Abreu's ninth-inning homer nearly brought the Sox back, but the rally petered out. He had a nice first week of the season, swatting two home runs and going 8-for-20 before hitting the skids in Week 2. Abreu was languishing in a 1-for-19 slide before his eighth-inning double preceded the homer.

Bell went 2-for-5 with two runs scored and one RBI in Tuesday's 8-5 win against the Cubs.

Bell's terrific start to the season continued Tuesday, as his multi-hit effort brought his batting average up to .333 through 10 games. With eight runs scored and seven RBI in that time, Bell has been a solid source of run production as well. Going forward, Bell is in line to serve as the Pirates' everyday first baseman and should see plenty of opportunities to continue elevating the .258 career batting average he entered the season with.

Calhoun is out of the lineup for the first time Tuesday against the Rangers, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

Calhoun had started all of the Angels' first 11 games so far. The team faces just its second lefty of the season in Martin Perez. Chris Young starts in right field in Calhoun's place, as he seems likely to do against many lefties. Young has a 120 career wRC+ against lefties, compared to Calhoun's 101 mark.

Goldschmidt went 1-for-4 with an RBI triple and a run scored in Monday's 2-1 win over the Giants.

Goldschmidt's first-inning triple ended a five-game streak in which the first baseman failed to collect an extra-base hit. The three-bagger would be the only highlight of the night for Goldschmidt, as he struck out in two of his final three at-bats to lower his average to .118 for the season. A .190 BABIP has been a major factor behind Goldschmidt's poor start, but the 30-year-old also isn't hitting the ball with much authority in the early going. He sports groundball and soft-hit rates of 52.4 and 19 percent, respectively, both well above his career marks of 44 and 11.3 percent.

Rizzo (back) had an MRI which came back clean Tuesday, Bruce Levine of 670TheScore.com reports.

Rizzo's back tightness wasn't expected to be a major issue, and the MRI confirms that's the case. He'll be eligible to return Monday and expects to do just that, saying he feels much better already. Efren Navarro was called up to replace him on the Cubs' active roster.

Guerrero went 3-for-3 with a home run, a double, a walk and a career-high six RBI for Double-A New Hampshire in its 11-1 win over Trenton on Monday.

The Jays' top prospect has homered on back-to-back nights and is sitting on a .333/.417/.833 batting line through his first five games in the Eastern League, production that's rendered even more impressive by the fact he's been hitting in cold weather in the Northeast. Guerrero should eventually face some resistance at the Double-A level while he matches up against more advanced arms, but the 19-year-old's exceptional plate discipline may make him less vulnerable to the prolonged slumps most high-level power-hitting prospects often encounter.

Gurriel (hand) is expected to be activated off the disabled list for Friday's game against the Rangers, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Gurriel has been hitting up a storm for Double-A Corpus Christi while on rehabilitation assignment. He's 8-for-17 with four doubles, three RBI and three runs scored. He played both third and first base Monday and will serve as the Hooks' designated hitter Tuesday. His return will likely spell the end to J.D. Davis' stay on the major-league roster.
