Cabrera went 2-for-5 with a walk, two doubles and an RBI in Friday's extra-inning win over the Braves.

His second double of the night gave the Mets an insurance run in the top of the 12th, although Cabrera was then thrown out to end the inning trying to stretch it into a triple. The 32-year-old already has eight multihit performances and 12 extra-base hits (eight doubles and four homers) in 19 games, driving his .347/.386/.613 slash line, and hitting somewhere near the top of the order has allowed him to collect 16 runs and 10 RBI. Given his career .271/.332/.423 line, this hot streak won't last, but until then he should be a fantasy lineup fixture.

Hoskins went 1-for-3 with a solo home run Thursday against the Pirates.

Hoskins took Jameson Taillon deep in the second inning, the start of a five-run inning for the Phillies. He now has exactly one hit in six consecutive games, during which he has five RBI and six runs scored. It's been an impressive start for the second-year player, as he's hitting .327/.486/.618 in 55 at-bats.

Freeman went 2-for-3 with a run and an RBI in Atlanta's 12-4 victory over the Mets on Thursday.

After exiting Wednesday's game after getting hit by a pitch in the wrist, Freeman was right back in the lineup against the Mets and he showed no ill effects with a pair of hits in this blowout victory for the Braves, much to the relief of fantasy owners. Consider the 28-year-old good to go going forward.

Rizzo went 3-for-4 with a walk, a run and an RBI in Thursday's win over the Cardinals.

This was just Rizzo's second game back from a stint on the 10-day disabled list and his first hits since returning. It looks like the back tightness that sidelined him is no longer an issue, so the slugging first baseman should be good to go moving forward.

Bell is batting .500 with two homers and two doubles in 14 at-bats against Thursday starter Jake Arrieta.

The first baseman snapped out of a 5-for-28 (with eight strikeouts) slide Wednesday, collecting two hits and three RBI. Although the sample size against Arrieta is minute, he's seeing the ball well once again and makes for an interesting play Thursday.

Calhoun is out of the lineup against Boston on Thursday.

With southpaw Eduardo Rodriguez taking the hill for the Red Sox, Calhoun will occupy a seat on the pine as Chris Young draws the start in right field. Expect to see him back in the lineup for Friday's series opener against San Francisco with right-hander Jeff Samardzija (pectoral) set to pitch.

Freeman (wrist) is starting at first base and hitting third Thursday against the Mets.

Freeman exited Wednesday's game against the Phillies after being struck by a pitch in his left wrist, but subsequent X-rays revealed no fracture and the stud first baseman is apparently feeling well enough to be included in the lineup for Thursday's series opener against the Mets. The 28-year-old will face Matt Harvey, against whom he is just 5-for-26 (.192) in his career.

X-rays on Freeman's left wrist came back negative.

This is a huge relief for Freeman and the Braves. The stud first baseman exited Wednesday's game against the Phillies after being hit by a pitch in his left wrist -- the same wrist that he fractured last season -- but as the team had hoped, test results confirmed the 28-year-old avoided any fractures. He'll be considered day-to-day for now. It wouldn't be surprising to see the Braves play it safe and hold him out for a day or two, but he shouldn't be sidelined for an extended period.

Gurriel is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against Seattle, Greg Johns of MLB.com reports.

Gurriel will occupy a seat on the bench for the first time since returning from a hand injury Friday. Over the past week, Gurriel went 6-for-24 (.250 average) with one home run, four RBI and three doubles in six games. Marwin Gonzalez will start at first while batting sixth in his absence.

Walker fouled out to first base in his pinch-hit appearance Wednesday in the Diamondbacks' 4-3 loss to the Giants in 10 innings.

After posting a .979 OPS for the Diamondbacks' Pacific Coast League affiliate in Reno in 2017 while repeating the Triple-A level for the fourth straight season, Walker was rewarded with an early season promotion to the big club when Jake Lamb (shoulder) hit the disabled list earlier this month. While his power makes him a higher-ceiling fantasy option than either of the replacement options (Daniel Descalso and Deven Marrero) the Diamondbacks have been using at third base in lieu of Lamb, Walker's lack of defensive polish has relegated him strictly to pinch-hitting duty during his stint with the big club. Walker hasn't helped his case for earning playing time by striking out in four of his five at-bats, so he'll be at high risk of losing his spot on the active roster once Lamb or Steven Souza (pectoral) is activated from the DL.
