Dixon went 1-for-1 with a solo homer in Saturday's loss to the Pirates.

After entering the game as a substitute in the eighth inning, Dixon proceeded to take Michael Feliz deep in his only at-bat for his first career big-league homer. The 26-year-old owns an unremarkable .238/.304/.429 line in 16 games -- just three starts -- since being promoted from Triple-A Louisville on May 22 and figures to stick in a reserve role during his time with the big club.

Hoskins went 3-for-4 with a walk, a double and a solo home run in Saturday's 4-1 win over the Brewers.

It's his third time in seven games since coming off the disabled list that Hoskins has multiple hits and a homer, but he's also gone 1-for-12 in the other four contests, a microcosm of his season to date. The 25-year-old now has a .249/.371/.463 slash line to go along with nine home runs and 37 RBI through 59 games on the year.

Cooper (wrist) revealed on his personal Twitter account Saturday he has been cleared to embark on a minor-league rehab assignment.

Cooper has been on the disabled list since early April after being hit by a pitch on his right wrist during the first week of the season. The 27-year-old appears headed to High-A Jupiter sometime in the near future, although it remains unclear how long the rehab stint is expected to last.

Smith went 2-for-4 with a double and a solo home run in Friday's loss to the Diamondbacks.

They were his first big-league extra-base hits this year, and Smith now has a strong .308/.357/.615 slash line in five games since his promotion. The Mets will give the 23-year-old every chance to establish himself at first base, but if he struggles, top prospect Peter Alonso -- who just got promoted to Triple-A -- is looming behind him.

Rizzo went 3-for-3 with a double, a run and a stolen base in Friday's win over the Cardinals.

Rizzo hit a ground-rule double -- his ninth two-bagger of the year -- off Michael Wacha in the fifth and later came around to score on a Kyle Schwarber home run. After a slow start to the season, Rizzo hit .303 in May and is so far hitting .295 in June. On the season he's hitting .249/.346/.442 with 11 home runs, 46 RBI and 30 runs scored.

Freeman went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Friday's loss to the Padres.

Freeman took starter Clayton Richard deep in the fifth inning for his 15th home run of the year. It was Freeman's fourth homer in his last five games and his ninth consecutive game with a hit. The 28-year-old is tied for second in the majors with a .342 batting average and his 1.031 OPS is good for fourth. Additionally, Freeman leads all MLB first basemen in RBI (49) and is tied for first at the position in runs scored (46).

Goldschmidt went 3-for-5 with a solo home run, two runs and two RBI to help the Diamondbacks to a 7-3 win over the Mets on Friday.

Pretty much no one is as hot as Goldschmidt these days, as the veteran first baseman has broken out of his early season slump in resounding fashion by posting a mind-boggling .456/.530/.965 slash line with six home runs over his 57 June at-bats. His .894 OPS on the season is inching much closer to his career mark of .928, and Goldschmidt is putting whatever lingering concerns may have existed regarding his slow start firmly to rest with his red-hot hitting.

Flores (back) was activated from the 10-day disabled list Friday, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.

Flores has been out since late May due to lower-back soreness but was able to successfully navigate three minor-league outings on a rehab assignment over the past week, signaling that he is back to full health. Though it's expected Flores will see a decent amount of playing time with Adrian Gonzalez off the roster and Yoenis Cespedes (hip) on the DL, he isn't in the starting nine for Friday's game in Arizona.

Cron is out of the lineup against the Yankees on Friday, Marc Topkin of The Tampa Bay Times reports.

Cron will get a breather following five straight starts, including a rough four-strikeout showing during Thursday's series opener. Look for him to return to the starting nine Saturday.

Goldschmidt went 1-for-4 with a solo home run Thursday against the Mets.

Goldschmidt struck out three times but those struggles were erased by his 13th home run of the season. The homer was notable because it was only his third of the season at home, and he entered Thursday's game slugging just .280 at Chase Field in 118 at-bats. He now has five home runs in his past 10 games, though four of them came at Coors Field.
