Jonathan Aranda 1B | TB
Rays' Jonathan Aranda: Piling up hits
Aranda went 3-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored Sunday against the Brewers.
Aranda continues to sit against most lefties but has crushed right-handed pitching consistently throughout the season. After Sunday's performance, he has a trio of three-hit games and four multi-hit efforts across seven starts in May. He has hit .481 with five RBI and four runs scored in that span.

Paul Goldschmidt 1B | NYY
Yankees' Paul Goldschmidt: Knocks three doubles Sunday
Goldschmidt went 3-for-5 with three doubles, two RBI and a run scored in Sunday's win over the Athletics.
Goldschmidt scattered his three doubles to each area of the outfield but only came around to score in the second inning. He continues to have a renaissance season at the age of 37 after posting the worst offensive numbers of his career in 2024. Goldschmidt is now second in baseball with 17 multi-hit games and a .349 batting average, trailing only his teammate Aaron Judge in both.

Freddie Freeman 1B | LAD
Dodgers' Freddie Freeman: Dialed in during Sunday's win
Freeman went 4-for-4 with a home run, two doubles, three RBI and two runs scored in Sunday's 8-1 win over the Diamondbacks.
Freeman supplied an RBI double in the first inning, a sacrifice fly in the fifth and a solo homer in the seventh. This was his bounce-back effort after seeing his 14-game hitting streak end with an 0-for-4 performance Saturday. During that streak, the first baseman his .472 (25-for-53) with nine extra-base hits and 19 RBI. For the season, he's at a superb .376/.437/.734 slash line with nine homers, 33 RBI, 22 runs scored, 10 doubles and one triple over 30 contests, though he's 0-for-1 on stolen base attempts.

Spencer Torkelson 1B | DET
Tigers' Spencer Torkelson: Provides offense Sunday
Torkelson went 1-for-3 with an RBI in Sunday's 6-1 loss to the Rangers.
Torkelson provided all of Detroit's offense on a sacrifice fly in the ninth inning. The infielder is now up to 33 RBI in 41 games this year to go along with 10 home runs and an .874 OPS. It's a huge step forward from 2024, when Torkelson had a total of 10 long balls and 37 RBI to go along with a disappointing .669 OPS over 92 regular-season games.

Jake Burger 3B | TEX
Rangers' Jake Burger: Eligible to return to big leagues
Burger is eligible to be called up to the Rangers' major-league roster Monday, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports.
Burger was sent down to Triple-A Round Rock on May 2 after struggling to a .190/.231/.330 slash line with three home runs, 12 RBI and 13 runs scored over 100 at-bats in 30 games with the Rangers to open the season. The righty bat has gone 9-for-23 with two home runs, six RBI and five runs scored over 23 at-bats in six games with Round Rock so far, and the Rangers may feel like they've seen enough to promote him back to the major-league roster in the near future.

Tim Elko 1B | CHW
White Sox's Tim Elko: Knocks first career homer
Elko went 1-for-3 with a three-run homer in Sunday's win against the Marlins.
Elko went 0-for-3 in his MLB debut Saturday before picking up his first career hit Sunday. His three-run shot off Sandy Alcantara in the sixth inning proved to be the game-winner. Elko served as the designated hitter Sunday after playing first base in his debut. With Andrew Vaughn continuing to struggle (.554 OPS through 160 plate appearances), Elko should continue seeing regular playing time.

Nolan Schanuel 1B | LAA
Angels' Nolan Schanuel: Receiving rest day
Schanuel is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Orioles.
Schanuel appears to be receiving a routine day off after he had started each of the Halos' last 11 games while slashing .282/.378/.333 with seven runs and one RBI. Kevin Newman will cover first base Sunday in Schanuel's stead.

Matt Gorski 1B | PIT
Pirates' Matt Gorski: Getting steady playing time
Gorski will start at first base and bat fifth in Sunday's game against Atlanta.
Gorski will get his third consecutive start at first base and appears to have at least temporarily moved into a near-everyday role with Enmanuel Valdez (shoulder), Spencer Horwitz (wrist) and Endy Rodriguez (finger) all on the injured list. Horwitz could be activated during the upcoming week, so Gorski's run as a lineup regular might prove to be short-lived.

Nick Sogard SS | BOS
Red Sox's Nick Sogard: Makes season debut
Sogard started at first base and went 1-for-4 with a walk and a run scored in Saturday's 10-1 win over the Royals.
Sogard was summoned from Triple-A Worcester earlier in the day and was added to the starting nine after Romy Gonzalez (back), who had been serving as the primary first baseman in the absence of Triston Casas (knee), was placed on the 10-day injured list. Sogard is a utility infielder with experience at second base, shortstop and third base, but he'll expand his resume to include first base while working in a timeshare with Abraham Toro.
