  • Nationals' Asdrubal Cabrera: Sitting against lefty

Cabrera is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Braves.

Cabrera started the last three games and went 2-for-11 with a triple and two RBI, but he'll take a seat Sunday with southpaw Max Fried on the mound for the Braves. Brian Dozier will start at the keystone and bat sixth in the series finale.

  • Blue Jays' Vladimir Guerrero Jr.: Day off Sunday

Guerrero will sit Sunday against the Yankees.

Guerrero takes a breather for the second time this month. He's hit just .167/.217/.238 in 11 games this month, dragging his season OPS down to a good but not great .781. Richard Urena gets the start at third base Sunday.

  • Matt Olson 1B | ATL

Athletics' Matt Olson: Homers for third straight game

Olson went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Saturday's 8-6 win over the Rangers.

Olson's power surge continued, as he's gone yard in three straight games and has five homers in his last five games. The first baseman has accumulated 10 RBI and seven runs scored in that span. For the year, Olson is up to .273/.356/.564 with 34 homers, 83 RBI and 68 runs scored in 114 games. He needs just one more RBI to match his total from last season, when he played in all 162 games.

  • Garrett Cooper 1B | ATL

Marlins' Garrett Cooper: Out of lineup Saturday

Cooper (knee) is not in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Giants.

Cooper jammed his knee on a diving catch during the first inning of Friday's game, but tests showed no structural damage, so he should be considered day-to-day ahead of Sunday's series finale. Harold Ramirez will take over in right field as Starlin Castro bats third against Saturday's starter, Madison Bumgarner.

  • Keston Hiura 2B | LAD

Brewers' Keston Hiura: Going through full pregame workout

Hiura (hamstring) is taking part in a full pregame workout Saturday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

The second baseman will go through fielding drills and take on-field batting practice, clearing another hurdle on his road back from a left hamstring strain. As McCalvy puts it, the Brewers "want to be super duper extra special sure he doesn't come back too early," so a return to the lineup Monday seems questionable, at best.

  • Diamondbacks' Wilmer Flores: Out of Saturday's lineup

Flores is not in Saturday's lineup against the Reds.

He is hitting .276 with one home run in 29 at-bats this month. Flores has started in seven of the last 10 games with six of those starts coming against same-handed pitching. Ildemaro Vargas is starting at second base and batting leadoff.

  • Matt Olson 1B | ATL

Athletics' Matt Olson: Leaves yard again

Olson went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in a win over the Rangers on Friday.

Olson squared up on a first-inning Brock Burke offering and sent it 395 feet into right center to open the scoring on the night. Despite a strong overall second half of the season, Olson's power production had been somewhat modest by his standards since the calendar flipped to August (seven home runs across 149 plate appearances between Aug. 1 and Sept. 9), but he's making up for that relative dry spell with four round trippers over his last four games.

  • Braves' Freddie Freeman: Back in Saturday's lineup

Freeman (elbow) is starting at first base and batting third Saturday against the Nationals, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.

As expected, the Braves get their first baseman back after he left Friday's game with a sore right elbow. Freeman is tied for first in the majors with 117 RBI and his 38 homers are good for ninth best in MLB.

  • Rowdy Tellez 1B | ATL

Blue Jays' Rowdy Tellez: Sits against Paxton

Tellez is not in Saturday's lineup against the Yankees, Keegan Matheson of MLB.com reports.

He was pulled from Friday's game for not hustling, but Matheson reports that Tellez's absence from Saturday's lineup is due to the fact that lefty James Paxton is on the hill for New York. Justin Smoak is starting at first base and batting sixth.

  • Josh Bell DH | MIN

Pirates' Josh Bell: Out Saturday with groin injury

Bell (groin) is not in Saturday's lineup against the Cubs.

He exited Friday's game with left groin discomfort and the issue will keep him sidelined for at least one more game. Jose Osuna is starting at first base and hitting cleanup.
