Voit is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Rays.

The Yankees are likely just building in a rest day for Voit after he started both of the past two days following his return from the 10-day injured list. The early returns weren't overly promising (0-for-6 with a walk), but Voit should gradually settle in at the plate once he gets more at-bats under his belt. Mike Ford will fill in for Voit at first base Thursday.

Gurriel (illness) is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Rangers, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

Gurriel will get a full day to rest up and recover after he was removed from Wednesday's 9-1 win over the Angels when he fell victim to an illness. Aledmys Diaz will fill in at first base for Gurriel, who will hope to return to the lineup Friday.

Wade (oblique) was reinstated from the 10-day injured list Thursday, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports.

Wade spent a week with Triple-A Sacramento on a rehab assignment but will be able to return to action after missing nearly a month with a left oblique strain. He's starting in left field and batting seventh in Thursday's game against the Pirates.

Casas went 4-for-6 with two home runs, six RBI and three runs scored for Double-A Portland in Wednesday's win over Hartford.

Casas entered the night batting .182 with 11 strikeouts over 25 at-bats before erupting against the Yard Goats. The offensive explosion raised his average 104 points while his OPS soared to .891. "Those first few games were tough," Casas told Michael Avallone of MLB.com. "I think I was trying to do too much last week. Tonight I just shortened up my approach, didn't go out of the [strike zone] and had some success." Casas is ranked as the organization's No. 1 or 2 prospect depending on the source. He came up as a third baseman but has played only first base for the Sea Dogs in 2021.

Abreu went 2-for-5 with a triple, three RBI and a run scored in Wednesday's 13-8 win over the Twins.

Abreu logged a third straight multi-RBI performance and is batting .370 (10-for-27) with six extra-base hits and 12 RBI over the last seven games. He's moved up the RBI ladder and ranks tied for second in MLB with 31 runs driven in. The White Sox are 11-1 when Abreu knocks in a run and 6-1 since his hot streak began.

Walker (oblique) expects to return sooner from his current stay on the injured list than he did when he landed on the IL with the same injury April 12, Nick Piecoro of the Arizona Republic reports.

Walker, who was placed on the injured list for a second time due to a right oblique strain, underwent an MRI on Wednesday that indicated the severity of the injury is less than it was a month ago. That leaves him optimistic that he can beat the 21-day/18-game absence he experienced the first time on the IL.

Cabrera started at first base and went 0-for-4 in Wednesday's 3-2 loss to the Marlins.

Cabrera filled in for the injured Christian Walker (oblique), who was sent to the injured list for the second time this season, and made his eighth appearance at first base. The Diamondbacks are expected to use a rotation of players to cover for Walker and have been careful not to extend the 35-year-old Cabrera.

Beaty went 2-for-3 with a double and three RBI in a win over Seattle on Wednesday.

Beaty plated the Dodgers' first runs of the game with a two-RBI double in the fourth inning. He later brought home another runner with a single in the fifth. The 28-year-old has been on fire since returning to the big club April 24, slashing .394/.512/.545 with a whopping 18 RBI over 41 plate appearances.

Vaughn went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run, a walk and two additional runs scored in Wednesday's win over the Twins.

Vaughn smacked his first career home run Wednesday in the fourth inning off J.A. Happ. The rookie was finally able to show off his raw power against the Twins. He is getting consistent playing time now with Luis Robert (hip) and Eloy Jimenez (pectoral) out long term. Vaughn isn't the greatest outfielder, but that is where he will receive the majority of his starts.

Olson went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 4-1 win over the Red Sox.

His sixth-inning blast off Eduardo Rodriguez capped the scoring for the A's. Olson had gone just 3-for-26 (.115) in the eight games since his last long ball, but on the season, the first baseman is still hitting a solid .267 with eight homers and 22 RBI through 32 contests.
