Bohm will sit Thursday against the Dodgers.

Bohm finds himself on the bench for the second time in three days despite the fact that he's finally found his groove at the plate, hitting .318/.375/.432 over his last 13 games. His defensive struggles could be to blame, as he has four errors in his past five contests. Ronald Torreyes will handle third base in his absence.

Alonso went 3-for-5 with two doubles, two runs and an RBI in Tuesday's 8-7 win over the Nationals, a game New York and Washington resumed Wednesday.

Alonso broke out of an 0-for-21 funk in the first inning of the contest Tuesday, doubling to deep center before coming around to score on Dominic Smith's two-bagger. After the contest was suspended in the top of the second due to inclement weather, the two sides resumed the game Wednesday, and Alonso added two more hits to his ledger. Alonso will stick in the lineup for the first game of Thursday's doubleheader with Washington, batting second while manning first base.

Votto went 4-for-5 with two home runs, four total runs, four RBI and a walk in Wednesday's extra-innings loss to Atlanta.

After Atlanta jumped out to a 5-0 lead, Votto kicked off a comeback with a two-run shot to center field in the sixth inning. He completed the turnaround with a game-tying, two-run homer in the ninth to send the game into extra frames, but Atlanta ultimately pulled out the win on a walkoff three-run blast by Ozzie Albies. The disappointing outcome not withstanding, it was another big game for the veteran first baseman, who is slashing .352/.440/.868 with a league-leading 14 home runs and 32 RBI over 24 games since the All-Star break.

Dalbec went 2-for-3 with a triple, five RBI, two runs scored and two walks Wednesday against the Rays.

Dalbec delivered a bases-loaded single in the fourth inning to drive in two. In his next time through the order, he once again came up with the bases loaded, this time clearing the bases with a triple. Though he's lost out on playing time, Dalbec has started to swing the bat better of late, tallying five hits across his last 14 at-bats since Aug. 5. However, he still has a subpar .222/.275/.401 line across 320 plate appearances on the season.

Goldschmidt went 1-for-2 with three walks and a run Wednesday against the Pirates.

Goldschmidt reached base in all but one of his plate appearances, though his box score was pedestrian otherwise. The effort continued what has been a productive stretch for Goldschmidt, as he has eight RBI and four runs scored across his last 10 games. Overall, he maintains a .269/.338/.443 line with 18 home runs and seven stolen bases across 476 plate appearances on the season.

Calhoun was removed from Wednesday's game against the Giants with a strained left hamstring.

Calhoun walked during the second inning and appeared to suffer the injury while making a head-first slide into third base, leading to his prompt removal from the contest. The severity of the injury remains unclear, but it's a concerning development as he missed two months earlier this season after undergoing surgery on the same hamstring.

Tellez was removed from Wednesday's game against the Cubs with right knee discomfort, Will Sammon of The Athletic reports.

Tellez hit a single during the first inning and came around to score on Lorenzo Cain's double, and it appears that's when he suffered the injury. The first baseman initially remained in the contest before being replaced by a pinch hitter. The severity of the injury remains unclear, but there's a chance the Brewers were simply being cautious after putting up a seven spot during the opening frame.

Orioles manager Brandon Hyde said Mountcastle (concussion) won't be reinstated from the 7-day injured list Sunday when first eligible, Nathan Ruiz of The Baltimore Sun reports.

While Hyde noted that Mountcastle's condition is improving, the 24-year-old will need more than a week to clear MLB's concussion protocol. DJ Stewart should continue to hold down a regular spot in the lineup against right-handers at either designated hitter or in the corner outfield while Mountcastle is on the shelf.

Walker is out of the lineup Wednesday against the Giants.

Walker went 0-for-3 with a walk during Tuesday's loss and will take a seat for Wednesday's contest. Pavin Smith will work at first base in his absence with righty Kevin Gausman pitching for San Francisco.

Blandino (hand) was reinstated from the 60-day injured list and optioned to Triple-A Louisville on Wednesday.

Blandino began a rehab assignment at the end of July and went 1-for-26 with two doubles, two RBI, a run, five walks and five strikeouts. He'll be an option to serve as utility depth if the Reds encounter injuries.
