Lowe is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Rays.

After going a collective 7-for-19 with three extra-base hits while starting in each of the past five games, the lefty-hitting Lowe will exit the lineup with southpaw Ryan Yarbrough on the hill for Tampa Bay. Sam Huff steps in for Lowe at first base.

Guerrero (wrist) will start at first base and bat third in Tuesday's game against the White Sox.

Guerrero was on the bench for Sunday's 11-10 win over the Angels while he contended with a sore left wrist, but he felt well enough to make a pinch-hitting appearance in the Blue Jays' victory. With the benefit of an off day Monday, Guerrero's wrist no longer looks to be much of a concern as the Blue Jays kick off a six-game homestand.

Smith was optioned to Triple-A Syracuse on Tuesday.

Smith has struggled mightily in a part-time role this season, hitting .186/.287/.256. Add in his numbers from a disappointing 2021 campaign and he now owns an 83 wRC+ over the last two seasons, a far cry from the 150 wRC+ he managed from 2019 to 2020 and nowhere close to a good enough mark for a defensively limited player like Smith. He'll try to get back on track with regular playing time in the minors, freeing up more at-bats for J.D. Davis, Luis Guillorme and Nick Plummer.

Naylor is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Royals.

With southpaw Daniel Lynch on the hill for Kansas City, the Guardians will counter with a lineup that includes eight right-handed-hitting options while the lefty-hitting Naylor and Steven Kwan head to the bench. Owen Miller will fill in for Naylor at first base, while Jose Ramirez gets a day out of the field and serves as Cleveland's designated hitter.

Santana is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Guardians, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.

With the Royals giving Whit Merrifield a day out of the field and having him serve as the team's designated hitter, Santana will retreat to the bench while Hunter Dozier covers first base. Santana's move to the bench comes after he went 1-for-18 with three walks against five strikeouts in the Royals' last five games.

Pasquantino was named the International League Player of the Week on Tuesday.

Pasquantino earned the weekly award with force, going 11-for-23 with four home runs, 11 RBI, six runs scored, two doubles and a triple in six games versus Triple-A Louisville. He had been struggling a bit in the batting average department, but a two-week surge has him up to a robust .303/.396/.667 slash line with 15 homers, 51 RBI, 36 runs scored and three stolen bases in 46 games with Omaha this season, his first year at the highest minor-league level.

Alonso went 1-for-4 with a walk and a solo home run in Monday's 13-5 win over the Nationals.

He capped off the laugher by taking Josh Rogers deep in the eighth inning. Alonso has 13 homers on the year, two back of Mookie Betts for the National League lead, and he's batting a career-best .286 through 50 games with 29 runs and an NL-leading 47 RBI.

Bell went 3-for-4 with three RBI in Monday's 13-5 loss to the Mets.

He once again didn't have an extra-base hit, but Bell still found a way to be productive in the rout. He's gone 21 games without a homer, slashing a weak .237/.284/.250 during his power drought with only one double and eight RBI.

Goldschmidt went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run and a walk in Monday's 6-3 win over the Padres.

Goldschmidt padded the Cardinals' lead with a seventh-inning homer, his fifth long ball in his last seven games. The first baseman is riding a 21-game hitting streak, going 38-for-86 (.442) in that span. He's surged to a .352/.418/.626 slash line with 11 homers, 42 RBI, 30 runs scored, three stolen bases and 16 doubles in 46 contests overall.

Mountcastle went 4-for-5 with a solo home run, a double and four runs scored in Monday's 10-0 win over the Red Sox.

Mountcastle played a big role in the blowout win, posting his first extra-base hits since May 22 in the process. The 25-year-old has been fairly steady in the heart of the Orioles' order this year. He has a .268/.298/.412 slash line with six homers, 20 RBI, 17 runs scored, four doubles and two stolen bases through 161 plate appearances. Monday marked the first time he's gone multiple games without striking out since he did so in three straight contests in the first week of the campaign.
