  • Alec Bohm 3B | PHI

Phillies' Alec Bohm: Activated from minor-league DL

Bohm (knee) was activated from the minor-league disabled list Monday.

Bohm went 0-for-4 in his first game back with short-season Williamsport after spending more than a month on the disabled list with a knee injury. The 22-year-old is hitting just .179/.270/.196 through 15 games with the Crosscutters this season.

Mets' Dominic Smith: Rejoins Mets prior to Monday's game

Smith was recalled from Triple-A Las Vegas on Monday, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.

Though Smith was temporarily sent back to the minors following Sunday's game, he will rejoin the active roster due to Brandon Nimmo's (finger) placement on the 10-day DL. During Monday's pre-game press conference, manager Mickey Callaway said Smith "won't get an extended run of playing time," but that he will see some starts at first base and in the outfield. Through 29 games with the Mets this year, Smith has slashed .194/.227/.347 with one home run and two RBI.

Mets' Dominic Smith: Returns to Triple-A

Smith was sent back down to Triple-A Las Vegas on Monday.

Smith joined the Mets prior to Sunday's Little League Classic versus Philadelphia in Williamsport, Pa. as each team was allowed an extra roster spot. Looking ahead, expect Smith to come back to the big leagues within the next couple weeks since rosters are about to expand in September. During Sunday's game, Smith went 1-for-1 with a double and one RBI in his lone at-bat.

  • Carlos Santana 1B | ARI

Phillies' Carlos Santana: Socks two-run blast

Santana went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Sunday's 8-2 loss to the Mets.

Santana provided the only damage for Philadelphia's offense Sunday, tagging Mets starter Jason Vargas with a homer in the sixth inning. The 32-year-old slugger is up to 18 home runs and 69 RBI alongside a .752 OPS in his first season with the Phillies. Santana should reach the 20-homer mark for the third consecutive season.

Mets' Dominic Smith: Up as 26th man

Smith will be the Mets' 26th man for Sunday's Little League Classic against the Phillies.

Both teams will get an extra man with the game being played in Williamsport, Pa. Smith has disappointed for the Mets so far this season, hitting just .183/.216/.324 in 28 games. Since he's just up as the extra man, it's likely that he heads right back to Triple-A Las Vegas following the game.

Mets' Dominic Smith: Headed back to big club

Smith is expected to be recalled from Triple-A Las Vegas ahead of Sunday's game against the Phillies, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Since being sent down to Triple-A on July 20, Smith has been receiving regular reps in left field and should see most of his action at that position now that he's back with the Mets. It's unclear if the 23-year-old will be in store for a full-time role right away during his upcoming stint in the big leagues, but with neither Jose Bautista nor Austin Jackson viewed as integral pieces for the future, it wouldn't be a surprise if Smith re-emerged as a lineup regular over the final weeks of the season. Smith has yet to find much success over 77 career games in the majors, slashing just .193/.249/.374 with 10 home runs and 27 RBI in those contests.

  • Diamondbacks' Paul Goldschmidt: Drives in four

Goldschmidt went 4-for-4 with a double and four RBI in the Diamondbacks' 7-6 loss to the Padres on Saturday.

The red-hot Goldschmidt is now riding an 11-game hitting streak, matching his longest of the season. Over that stretch, he's slashing .438/.481/.792 with nine extra-base hits (four home runs), 11 RBI and eight runs. While Goldschmidt remains in the thick of contention for the NL MVP award, his counting stats still lag well behind his usual marks. He's on pace to finish with 93 RBI and 102 runs, both of which would be his lowest outputs in those categories since 2014.

  • Rhys Hoskins 1B | CLE

Phillies' Rhys Hoskins: Swipes bag, collects two hits

Hoskins went 2-for-4 with a double and a stolen base in Saturday's 3-1 loss to the Mets.

Hoskins stole his fifth base and hit his 29th double of the 2018 campaign, although the Philadelphia offense was held in check by Jacob deGrom. Hoskins has launched four home runs and driven in seven runs over 16 games in August, so he's off to yet another productive month at the dish.

  • Mets' Wilmer Flores: Plates run vs. Phillies

Flores went 1-for-4 with an RBI in Saturday's game against Philadelphia.

Flores got the Mets on the board in the fourth inning after singling home a run. He's having a solid month at the dish, as he's hitting .296 with two home runs and 12 RBI over 18 games in August.

  • Phillies' Asdrubal Cabrera: Day off Saturday

Cabrera is not listed in the starting lineup Saturday against the Mets, Matt Breen of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Cabrera will avoid Mets ace Jacob deGrom, ceding the start at shortstop to Scott Kingery. The veteran seems a good bet to rejoin the lineup Sunday to face lefty Jason Vargas in the series finale.
