Rivas hasn't started against a southpaw all season, a trend which will continue here against MacKenzie Gore. Frank Schwindel will get the start at first base.

Beaty was placed on the 10-day injured list with a left shoulder impingement Monday, retroactive to May 8.

Beaty sustained a left shoulder injury on a diving attempt in the outfield Saturday and was held out of Sunday's lineup. After being diagnosed with a left shoulder impingement, he'll be forced to miss at least a week-plus. Trayce Thompson and Jose Azocar should see increased playing time in the outfield while Beaty and Wil Myers (thumb) are out.

Wade went 1-for-2 with a two-run home run in Sunday's 4-3 win over the Cardinals.

Wade's first hit of the season was a second-inning homer off Cardinals starter Dakota Hudson. This was just the third game of the year (second start) for Wade, who began the season on the injured list with a knee injury that had kept him out of action since March 28. The 28-year-old has made both of his starts in right field, though manager Gabe Kapler is understandably being cautious with him after his month-long layoff. Expect Wade to be in the lineup against most right-handed pitchers, though he could settle into a bench role when opponents have a southpaw starting on the mound.

Alonso went 3-for-5 with two home runs and five RBI in a 6-1 win Sunday during the second game of a doubleheader in Philadelphia.

Alonso reached safely in each of his first three plate appearances in the nightcap, hitting a two-run homer in the first, singling in the third and hitting a long three-run shot in the fifth. The Polar Bear has four multi-hit performances in his last six games, going 10-for-24 with five extra-base hits and raising his OPS from .710 to .833 in the process. With 26 RBI, he is setting the pace for the National League.

Manager David Bell said Sunday that Votto (illness) is still "a couple of days" away from returning from the COVID-19-related injured list, Bobby Nightengale of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Bell said the same is true for Nick Senzel, who remains away from the team along with Votto after both recently tested positive for the virus. Votto looks like he can safely be ruled out for Monday's series opener with the Brewers, which should pave the way for Colin Moran to pick up another start at first base following his career-best six-RBI performance in Sunday's 7-3 win over the PIrates.

Voit (biceps) has returned to San Diego and is expected to get some live at-bats at the Padres' facility over the next few days before returning from the 10-day injured list, AJ Cassavell of MLB.com reports.

Though Voit believes the biceps issue that resulted in his placement on the IL on April 24 has subsided at this point, he's looking to regain his timing at the plate on the heels of a rough rehab assignment at Triple-A El Paso. During his five-game run with El Paso, Voit went hitless with 12 strikeouts across 18 at-bats. The Padres don't believe Voit will need extensive time to find his swing, though he's not expected to be activated during the team's three-game home series with the Cubs that runs from Monday through Wednesday.

Smith is out of the lineup for the second game of Sunday's doubleheader with the Phillies.

The Phillies are bringing a southpaw (Cristopher Sanchez) to the hill for the second game of the twin bill, so the lefty-hitting Smith will cede his spot to the righty-hitting J.D. Davis as the Mets play matchups. Smith started at first base in the Mets' 3-2 loss in Game 2, going 0-for-4 with two strikeouts.

Beaty (shoulder) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Marlins, AJ Cassavell of MLB.com reports.

Beaty appeared to suffer a shoulder injury on a diving attempt in the outfield during Saturday's game, and he won't start Sunday's series finale. The 29-year-old has seen significant action in right field since Wil Myers (thumb) landed on the injured list, and the Padres will continue moving down the depth chart. Trayce Thompson will receive the nod in right for Sunday's contest.

Beaty left Saturday's loss to the Marlins after appearing to injure his shoulder while diving for a ball in the second inning, AJ Cassavell of MLB.com reports.

Beaty got the start in right field but had to give way to Jose Azocar after landing awkwardly on the attempted catch in the second frame. Manager Bob Melvin didn't sound optimistic about Beaty's prognosis after the game, stating, "They're working on him right now, but it was obviously enough to where he had to come out of the game, so that's not a great sign." San Diego is already without primary right fielder Wil Myers, who is on the 10-day injured list with a thumb injury, so losing Beaty for any amount of time would further thin the team's outfield depth. Options in right field behind Myers and Beaty include Azocar, Trayce Thompson and CJ Abrams.

Flores went 1-for-3 with a grand slam, a walk and six total RBI in Saturday's 13-7 win over the Cardinals.

Flores gave the Giants a big early lead with his first-inning grand slam off Steven Matz. Though he didn't collect another hit in the contest, the veteran produced two more runs on a fourth-inning sacrifice fly and an eighth-inning bases-loaded walk. The grand slam was the fifth of Flores' career, and his first since September of 2017, per Sarah Langs of MLB.com. Flores is slashing .269/.340/.419 with three homers and a team-high 19 RBI on the season.
