Wilmer Flores 1B | SF
Giants' Wilmer Flores: Heads to injured list
Flores was placed on the 10-day injured list with a strained left hamstring Thursday.
Flores left Wednesday's game against the Brewers with what was originally called hamstring tightness, but it turns out the injury is serious enough to cost him at least 10 days. It looks as though he'll miss at least a bit longer than that, with Kerry Crowley of The San Jose Mercury News reporting that Flores is expected to miss a couple weeks. Mauricio Dubon was recalled to take his place on the roster, giving the Giants another right-handed bat.

Giants' Wilmer Flores: Dealing with tight hamstring
Flores left Wednesday's game against the Brewers with left hamstring tightness, Kerry Crowley of The San Jose Mercury News reports.
Flores went 1-for-3 at the plate before exiting. The Giants are expected to face lefties in each of their next three games, which are matchups in which the utility infielder would typically start. The team could wind up with one more lefty in the lineup than normal for those contests if Flores isn't ready to go.

Rhys Hoskins 1B | CLE
Phillies' Rhys Hoskins: Shifts to 60-day IL
Hoskins (abdomen) was transferred to the 60-day injured list Wednesday, Scott Lauber of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Hoskins was already ruled out for the rest of the season due to surgery for an issue in his lower abdomen, so it was only a matter of time before the Phillies shifted him to the 60-day IL to free up a spot on the 40-man roster. Brad Miller and J.T. Realmuto should continue to see most of the playing time at first base for the Phillies over the final month of the campaign.

Giants' Wilmer Flores: Swats late homer
Flores went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk Tuesday in a loss to the Brewers.
Flores' ninth-inning solo shot served as a small protest against a loss that cut the Giants' lead over the Dodgers in the NL West to half a game. The long ball was the 17th of the season for the veteran, and he is only one homer shy of the career-high 18 he amassed with the Mets in 2017. Flores finished August with a .240/.269/.427 slash line, four homers and eight RBI over 26 games.
