Freeman went 3-for-4 in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Mets.

This was Freeman's third three-hit effort in a row, though all three knocks were singles Saturday. While the first baseman has been steady with the stick in July, batting .324 over 19 contests this month, he's supplied just five RBI. For the year, he's batting .299 with an .868 OPS, 15 home runs, 51 RBI, 56 runs scored, 26 doubles, one triple and five stolen bases over 102 contests. Given Freeman's prominent spot in a strong lineup, his run production should eventually get back on track.

Burleson went 3-for-4 with one RBI and one run scored in Saturday's 7-0 win over the Reds.

Burleson alone matched the Reds' hit total in the contest. He has alternated three-hit efforts and hitless performances over his last seven games, going 12-for-29 (.414) with three RBI in that span. For the season, the 27-year-old is batting .285 with an .813 OPS, 15 home runs, 70 RBI, 55 runs scored, 25 doubles, one triple and three stolen bases across 103 games.

Devers went 3-for-4 with a double, a home run, two runs scored and four RBI in Saturday's 9-2 win over the Angels.

The big blow for the 29-year-old slugger was a three-run homer in the fourth inning off Brent Suter that capped the scoring on the day for the Giants. Devers has gone yard in back-to-back games, and over 19 contests in July he's batting .286 (20-for-70) with seven of his 22 long balls on the season, along with 16 runs and 16 RBI.

Steer isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against St. Louis.

Steer will get a chance to regroup Saturday after going 0-for-14 over his last four games. His absence will allow Noelvi Marte to start in right field, batting sixth.

Young isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Dodgers.

Young will get a breather Saturday after going 2-for-3 with a double and a stolen base in Friday's series opener. Brett Baty will fill in as New York's first baseman and bat eighth.

The Mets recalled Wagaman from Triple-A Syracuse on Saturday.

With Juan Soto (calf) landing on the injured list Saturday, Wagaman will return to the active roster to help bolster New York's bench depth. The 28-year-old isn't likely to receive regular opportunities with the big club, though his ability to play at both of the corner infield and outfield spots could enable him to pick up an occasional start.

Freeman scored half of the Dodgers' runs and recorded his 26th double of the season -- tied for second in the majors. The future Hall of Famer is moving up the all-time chart in the category, as his 573 career regular-season doubles put him 27th in MLB history. Freeman has collected three hits in both of his past two games to push his season slash line to .294/.377/.486 with 15 homers, 51 RBI, 56 runs and five stolen bases through 101 contests.

Olson went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run in Friday's extra-inning win over the Orioles.

The star first baseman played hero in the top of the 10th inning, taking Andrew Kittredge deep to give Atlanta a 7-3 lead in an eventual 7-6 win. Olson is up to 27 homers on the season, and seven of them have come over 20 games in July -- a stretch in which he's produced a .241/.341/.544 slash line with 11 RBI and 15 runs.

Devers went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run, a walk, a third RBI and a second run scored in Friday's 7-6 extra-inning win over the Angels.

Devers started the Giants' scoring with a first-inning homer and added a walk-off knock in the 10th. This was his first multi-hit effort since July 10 versus the Rockies. The infielder is batting .244 with a .791 OPS, 21 homers, 56 RBI, 53 runs scored, 26 doubles and one triple across 103 contests this season.

Vaughn is absent from the lineup for Friday's contest against the Rockies.

Vaughn has been getting increased reps with Sal Frelick (shoulder) on the shelf, having started each of the previous four games, but he will begin Friday's tilt on the bench. Jake Bauers will play first base, and Luis Lara will patrol right field for the Brewers.
