The Reds are expected to place Steer on the injured list Monday after he suffered a right wrist injury that is likely to cost him "significant time," Buster Olney of ESPN reports.

Steer was forced out of Sunday's 5-3 win over the Cardinals in the fifth inning, after he felt some discomfort when he fouled a pitch off the end of his bat. The Reds labeled his injury as right wrist pain and indicated that he would visit a specialist Monday for further imaging. While the team has yet to provide an official update on Steer's status, Olney's report suggests that an MRI revealed a major injury. With a .740 OPS over 98 games this season, the versatile Steer was expected to be a coveted right-handed bat ahead of the Aug. 3 trade deadline, but his impending move to the IL will likely take any potential deal off the table.

Gurevitch clubbed five home runs last week for High-A Peoria, bringing his season total to 20.

A third-round selection in the 2025 First-Year Player Draft, Gurevitch's first full pro season has been a dandy, as he's turned in a .297/.384/.547 batting line with 20 long balls and a 40:107 BB:K. He's been particularly good in July, posting a 1.145 OPS. The 22-year-old Gurevitch has split his time between first and third base this season.

Burleson went 3-for-5 with a double, one RBI and one run scored in Sunday's 5-3 extra-inning loss to the Reds.

Burleson collected his sixth multi-hit effort in the last nine games with this performance. He's also driven in a run in consecutive contests. Burleson's power has dried up a bit -- he has gone 14 games without a home run, logging five doubles and five RBI in that span. He's hitting .289 with an .819 OPS, 15 home runs, 71 RBI, 56 runs scored, 26 doubles, one triple and three stolen bases over 104 contests this season, so fantasy managers will have to satisfied with consistency while waiting for his over-the-fence swing to return.

Blanco (hamstring) has gone 2-for-8 with a home run, a double and five RBI in two games for High-A Greensboro since being reinstated from the 7-day injured list Friday.

Blanco had been on the IL for just over a month before returning to action for Greensboro after completing a four-game rehab assignment between the rookie-level Florida Complex League and Single-A Bradenton. The 21-year-old has produced plenty of pop with 26 extra-base hits in 51 games at High-A this season, but he's getting on base at just a .317 clip.

Bauers went 2-for-3 with a double, a walk, an RBI, a stolen base and two runs scored in Sunday's 11-2 win over the Rockies.

Bauers has multiple hits and a steal in back-to-back contests. Prior to this recent burst of productivity, he had gone just 4-for-30 over a 10-game span from July 11-24. The 30-year-old is picking up steady time in right field in the absence of Sal Frelick (shoulder), though Bauers moves to first base when Andrew Vaughn is on the bench. Bauers is batting .263 with an .855 OPS, 18 home runs, eight steals, 60 RBI, 62 runs scored, 16 doubles and one triple over 96 contests this season.

Vaughn went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and a second RBI in Sunday's 11-2 win over the Rockies.

Vaughn went deep in the sixth inning and added a sacrifice fly in the eighth. He's hit safely in five of his seven games since the All-Star break, going 6-for-21 (.286) with two homers and four RBI in that span. For the season, the first baseman is batting .308 with an .878 OPS, four homers, 28 RBI, 23 runs scored, 15 doubles, two triples and no stolen bases over 194 plate appearances.

Steer went 0-for-2 with a pair of strikeouts before being pulled midway through his fifth-inning at-bat due to the wrist issue. Edwin Arroyo came off the bench to replace Steer, who is likely being viewed as day-to-day until he undergoes a more thorough evaluation.

Stewart is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Cardinals.

Stewart will receive his first day off this season after drawing starts in 103 straight games. The 22-year-old remains one of the leading contenders for the National League Rookie of the Year Award, but he's lost some momentum coming out of the All-Star break with a .188/.200/.406 slash line over the last eight games. With Stewart getting a breather, Ke'Bryan Hayes will pick up a start at third base in the series finale in St. Louis.

Vargas is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Nationals.

Vargas will hit the bench for the series finale after he had gone 9-for-21 with two walks, five runs and two RBI over the Diamondbacks' past six games. He'll cede his spot in the starting nine to Tyler Locklear, who will cover first base and bat eighth.
