Angels right fielder Kole Calhoun went 1 for 4 at the plate in Los Angeles' 8-6 win over the Tigers on Saturday. Calhoun did his damage in the first inning when he ripped a solo home run off of Shane Greene, his fifth of the season. 

Calhoun is now hitting .281 with 24 RBI on the year.

Astros first baseman Chris Carter went 1 for 3 at the plate in Houston's 3-0 win over the White Sox on Saturday. Carter, who also drew a walk in the game, did his damage in the eighth when he blasted a solo home run off of Dan Jennings, his eighth of the season.

Carter is now hitting .188 with 27 RBI on the year.

White Sox standout Jose Abreu received good news Saturday when x-rays on his ailing finger came back negative, a source has told the Chicago Sun-Times.

Abreu left the game in the eighth inning Friday with the finger issue. He is not in the Saturday lineup in Houston.

Astros first baseman Chris Carter had two RBI in Friday's loss to the White Sox. 

Carter went 2 for 4, lifting his average to .185. His two runs driven in gave him 26 on the year.  

White Sox first baseman Jose Abreu left Friday's game in the eighth inning, with a finger injury. 

Abreu was 2 for 4 with a run scored when he left. He was taken to the hospital for X-rays, per Comcast Sports Net Chicago. 

Abreu said he initially hurt the finger about two weeks ago and has been playing through it. 

Blue Jays left fielder Chris Colabello hit a game-winning home run in Friday's win over Minnesota. 

Colabello hit a two-run shot in the top of the ninth to break a 4-4 tie. He went 1 for 4 on the night and hit his fourth home run. He now has 14 RBI. 

Indians first baseman Carlos Santana, currently on the paternity list, is expected to rejoin the team on Sunday in Seattle, according to Cleveland.com. 

Santana has been away from the team since the birth of his daughter on Thursday.

Santana will be replaced at first for the second straight game by Brandon Moss, who moves from right to make his sixth start of the year at first base. 

David Murphy moves into right field to replace Moss, for his fifth start there this year. 

A trio of ailing Rays are ready to roll Friday night in Baltimore. Outfielder Kevin Kiermaier (ankle), shortstop Asdrubal Cabrera (groin) and right fielder Steven Souza are all in the lineup.

Cabrera and Souza had missed the last three games while Kiermaier lost no time to his ailment.

Indians first baseman Carlos Santana has been placed on the paternity list, the team announced Thursday. Santana, who has two home runs in his last three games, will be away from the team for no more than three games. 

The team called up pitcher Austin Adams and outfielder Jerry Sands from Triple-A, as pitcher Scott Atchison was also placed on the 15-day disabled list.
