O'Hearn is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Tigers.

O'Hearn will be stationed on the bench for the third time in the last four games as left-hander Matthew Boyd is set to take the mound for Detroit. Hunter Dozier takes over at first base for the Royals while Kelvin Gutierrez starts at third base.

Calhoun went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run and a walk to help the Angels to a 6-2 victory over the Blue Jays on Thursday.

Calhoun typically hits leadoff against right-handers, but he was dropped down to sixth in the order thanks to his early-season struggles. He responded by cranking a second-inning two-run shot off Aaron Sanchez. He's hitting just .204 with a .297 on-base percentage, but the 31-year-old is at least providing decent power, as this was eighth home run to go along with six doubles and eight RBI over 113 at-bats.

Manager Charlie Montoyo told MLB Network Radio that Guerrero will not be in the lineup Thursday against the Angels.

Guerrero has started all five games since earning a promotion at the end of April, going 3-for-18 with a double and 3:6 BB:K during those contests. He'll head to the bench for Thursday's series finale as the skipper looks to "give him a day off to relax" ahead of the team's upcoming weekend series against the Rangers.

O'Hearn is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Rays.

The Royals have routinely withheld O'Hearn from the lineup against left-handed pitchers this season, but he'll pick up a rare rest versus a righty (Charlie Morton) on Thursday. Since opening the season with a five-game hitting streak, O'Hearn has slashed a miserable .116/.262/.261 and could be in danger of losing out on a strong-side platoon role.

Kirilloff (wrist) was activated from the 7-day IL at Double-A Pensacola, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.

Kirilloff sustained the wrist injury late in spring training and originally was expected to return to the field sometime in April. He'll likely move to first base after playing the outfield last season.

Tellez went 2-for-3 with a walk and a solo home run in Wednesday's loss to the Angels.

The rookie continues to supply the Jays with solid power numbers, slugging six homers and 17 RBI in 26 games, but Tellez's .238/.311/.500 slash line is otherwise lackluster. The 24-year-old will need to improve on his 31.1 percent strikeout rate if he's going to develop into a more complete hitter.

Abreu knocked in six runs combined in Wednesday's doubleheader against the Orioles. He knocked in one each on a double and a single in Game 1 then hit a solo home run and a rare three-run single in the nightcap.

With hits in each game, Abreu extended his hitting streak to 10 games, going 21-for-44 with three home runs and 20 RBI during that span. The run-producing stretch moves him up to third in MLB with 30 RBI, tied with the Mariners' Domingo Santana.

Olson (hand) went 0-for-3 with a walk in Triple-A Las Vegas' loss to Reno on Wednesday.

Olson slotted in at first base as planned and was part of a successful double play, showing no ill effects from his recovering hand. The rehabbing Olson is slated to suit up for the Aviators for at least four more games before the Athletics begin considering an activation date.

Santana went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 4-2 loss to the Marlins.

He's only got four homers on the year, but three of them have come in the last three games. Impressive as the power display is, Santana's .323/.432/.495 slash line through 28 contests is downright shocking, and the 33-year-old is hitting nearly 100 points higher than he did in 2018.

Voit went 1-for-3 with a solo home run, two runs and a walk in the Yankees' 3-2 defeat to the Diamondbacks on Wednesday.

The Yankees only managed two runs on the day and Voit scored both, one of them coming on a sixth-inning solo homer off Merrill Kelly. He continues to hit well in the early going, as he now has a .277/.396/.545 slash line to go along with nine homers and 26 RBI in 112 at-bats.
