Vladimir Guerrero Jr. 1B | TOR
Blue Jays' Vladimir Guerrero: Swipes seventh bag
Guerrero went 2-for-4 with a walk, an RBI and a stolen base in the first game of Monday's doubleheader sweep of the Orioles.
The first baseman continues to catch other teams by surprise by his baserunning acumen. All seven of Guerrero's steals this season have come since the All-Star break and he's been caught only twice, adding extra value to a second half that has seen the 23-year-old slash .295/.348/.497 over 41 games with seven homers, 24 RBI and 25 runs.

Josh Naylor 1B | SEA
Guardians' Josh Naylor: Swats homer in win
Naylor went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Monday's 6-5 extra-inning win over the Royals.
Naylor went yard in the sixth inning off of Royals starter Brady Singer to put the Guardians up 3-2. Through five games in September, Naylor has found a little consistency, going 5-for-20 (.250) with a homer, a double and two RBI. The 25-year-old continues to command a presence in the heart of the lineup with a .260/.315/.454 slash line, 17 long balls, 63 RBI, 36 runs scored and five stolen bases through 99 contests.

Carlos Santana 1B | ATL
Mariners' Carlos Santana: Poaching playing time from Haggerty
Santana will start at first base and bat cleanup in Monday's game against the White Sox.
Even though he's the owner of a poor .619 OPS since the beginning of August, Santana looks to have a hold on a near-everyday role. Santana was expected to lose out on opportunities when Sam Haggerty recently healed up from shoulder and finger injuries, but since starting Thursday, Haggerty has sat in four straight contests. Meanwhile, Santana finds himself in the lineup for the third time during that four-game stretch.

Yandy Diaz DH | TB
Rays' Yandy Diaz: Gets rest Monday
Diaz isn't in the starting lineup Monday against the Red Sox, Neil Solondz of the Rays Radio Network reports.
Diaz will get a breather after he went 4-for-12 with three RBI and two walks while starting all three games of the Rays' weekend series with the Yankees. Isaac Paredes will slide over to third base to fill in for Diaz.

Anthony Rizzo 1B | NYY
Yankees' Anthony Rizzo: Could be available Wednesday
Yankees manager Aaron Boone said Rizzo (back) could be able to rejoin the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Twins, Andy Martino of SNY.tv reports.
After Rizzo received an epidural Friday to address his lingering back injury, the Yankees were initially targeting Tuesday for his return to the lineup. However, while Rizzo's back is improving, he experienced headaches related to the injection and is back home recovering. While a Tuesday return now looks to be off the table, Rizzo may still be just two days away from playing if he continues to move in the right direction in his recovery. DJ LeMahieu is out of the lineup for Monday's series opener with Minnesota but is expected to continue serving as the Yankees' primary first baseman for the duration of Rizzo's absence.

Triston Casas 1B | BOS
Red Sox's Triston Casas: Singles in debut
Casas went 1-for-4 in his big-league debut Sunday in a 5-2 win over Texas.
Casas hit sixth and played first base in his first game in the majors. After flying out and grounding out in his first two at-bats, he recorded his first big-league hit, an infield single in the fifth inning. The 22-year-old posted a .273/.382/.481 slash line with 11 homers in 72 games for Triple-A Worcester before being promoted. With Bobby Dalbec optioned to Triple-A and Eric Hosmer (back) on the injured list, the rookie is likely to get the bulk of the opportunities at first in the near future.

Spencer Torkelson 1B | DET
Tigers' Spencer Torkelson: Back on bench Sunday
Torkelson is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Royals.
Torkelson had started at first base in both of the Tigers' last two games, once against a lefty (Daniel Lynch) and once against a righty (Jonathan Heasley). He went 0-for-5 between those contests, though he managed to reach base twice on hit-by-pitches and once via a walk. Torkelson remains a key foundational piece for the rebuilding Tigers, but he won't be assured an everyday role in September in light of his struggles at the big-league level this season along with his middling production at Triple-A Toledo prior to his promotion Thursday. Harold Castro will start at first base and bat cleanup Sunday and still looks to be the Tigers' preferred option, at least for now.

Ty France 1B | SD
Mariners' Ty France: Homer barrage continues Saturday
France went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in a win over the Guardians on Saturday.
France crushed his fourth homer in the last six games during the first inning, opening the scoring on the night with the 383-foot blast to left field. The 27-year-old infielder has now tied the career-high 18 home runs he launched during his breakout 2021 campaign, and he's just five RBI from eclipsing the 73 that accompanied the feat and also currently serve as a high-water mark for him. France's offensive profile has been stellar in all aspects during his six-game power tear, as he also has a double, five singles, two walks, six runs and a tiny 11.5 percent strikeout rate on his way to a .417 average and 1.420 OPS in the sample.

Bobby Dalbec 1B | CHW
Red Sox's Bobby Dalbec: Demoted to Triple-A
Dalbec was optioned to Triple-A Worcester on Sunday.
News of Dalbec's demotion was reported Saturday night, and he's now officially been sent to the minors. The 27-year-old had a solid .792 OPS with 25 home runs and 78 RBI in his first full season of big-league action last year, but he was unable to replicate those results in 2022 with a .211/.282/.362 slash line. Top prospect Triston Casas was promoted in a corresponding move and should step in as Boston's primary first baseman. Dalbec will attempt to straighten things out with Worcester in hopes of rejoining the Red Sox in the closing stages of the campaign.

Triston Casas 1B | BOS
Red Sox's Triston Casas: Officially promoted Sunday
The Red Sox selected Casas' contract from Triple-A Worcester on Sunday.
Casas is considered Boston's top prospect and will now receive his first taste of big-league action. The 22-year-old has been limited by injury to 72 games with Triple-A Worcester this year, but he played well when available and posted a .273/.382/.481 slash line with 11 home runs and 38 RBI. Casas should take over as the Red Sox's primary first baseman for the stretch run and will start at the position and bat sixth in his MLB debut Sunday versus the Rangers, per Sean McAdam of BostonSportsJournal.com.
