Matt Lee: Let go by Cincy
The Bengals waived Lee (knee) on Tuesday.
Lee finished the 2025 campaign on IR due to a knee injury but had his 21-day practice window opened down the stretch, so he now appears back to full health. The 2024 seventh-round pick will search for a depth opportunity elsewhere at center.

Bengals' Matt Lee: Won't return for Week 17
Lee (knee) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's game against the Cardinals, Charlie Goldsmith of the Dayton Daily News reports.
Lee's 21-day practice window opened Wednesday, but the center is not quite ready to return to the field yet. The 24-year-old was able to log limited practice sessions throughout the week, but with the Bengals already eliminated from playoff contention, they are likely taking Lee's return slowly and safely. Ted Karras is set to once again start at center for Sunday's game.

Bengals' Matt Lee: Moved to injured reserve
The Bengals placed Lee (knee) on injured reserve Tuesday.
Lee was inactive for Week 8 against the Jets after a knee injury prevented him from practicing Friday. After undergoing further tests, it's been determined that the injury is severe enough for him to warrant a stint on injured reserve, which means he will be required to miss at least the next four games. The earliest Lee could return from IR is Week 14 against the Bills on Sunday, Dec. 7.

Bengals' Matt Lee: Depth piece along offensive line
The Bengals selected Lee in the seventh round of the 2024 NFL Draft, 237th overall.
A three-year starter at UCF before transferring to Miami in his final collegiate year, Lee probably could add a bit more weight (301) onto his 6-foot-3 frame. That being said, he's held up specifically well in pass protection over the years and could be an interesting depth piece along multiple areas of the line for Cincy.
