  • Miles Kitselman: Waived from injured reserve

The Lions waived Kitselman (leg) from injured reserve with an injury settlement Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Kitselman suffered a leg injury during a practice session in early August, which prompted the Lions to place the 23-year-old tight end on injured reserve this past Wednesday. He would have been forced to miss the entire 2026 season while on IR, but the settlement allows Kitselman to sign and play with a team once he's fully healthy.

  • Lions' Miles Kitselman: Placed on reserve/injured list

The Lions placed Kitselman (leg) on the reserve/injured list Wednesday. Kitselman exited Sunday's practice with a significant leg injury, so this move is not entirely surprising. The tight end will now spend the entirety of the 2026 season on injured reserve unless he is waived with an injury settlement. The Lions signed wide receiver Tarik Black in a corresponding move.

  • Lions' Miles Kitselman: Will miss time with leg injury

Kitselman (leg) is set to be "out for a while," Richard Silva of The Detroit News reports. Kitselman exited Sunday's practice early with a leg injury. The undrafted free agent out of Tennessee appears set to miss some time, further dampening his chances of garnering a roster spot this summer. It's possible Kitselman is eventually placed on season-ending injured reserve or is waived with an injury settlement.

  • Lions' Miles Kitselman: Nursing leg injury

Kitselman left Sunday's training camp practice early due to a leg injury, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports. Kitselman signed with the Lions in mid-May as an undrafted free agent. He's competing for a depth spot on the team's 53-man roster by the time training camp wraps up, so he'll aim to return to practice and be ready for the Lions' preseason opener against the Bengals on Thursday, Aug. 13.

  • Lions' Miles Kitselman: Joining Lions

The Lions signed Kitselman as an undrafted free agent Tuesday. Kitselman spent the 2025 season with Tennessee, where he caught 26 passes for 253 yards and two touchdowns. He will look to compete for a depth spot on Detroit's roster and could be a candidate to land on their practice squad.
