Allen (undisclosed) was waived from injured reserve with an injury settlement by the Vikings on Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Allen is now a free agent and will be cleared to sign with an NFL team once he recovers from his injury. He appeared in 50 games across four collegiate seasons at UNC, amassing 136 total tackles, 22 passes defended, 0.5 sacks and three interceptions.

Allen (undisclosed) reverted to the Vikings' injured-reserve list Monday, according to the NFL's official transaction log.
The cornerback was waived with an injury designation by Minnesota earlier in the day. Allen will now need to reach an injury settlement with the team to have a chance to play in 2026.

Allen appears to have picked up an undisclosed injury at some point during the preseason. If he goes unclaimed on waivers, the cornerback will revert to injured reserve with Minnesota.
