The Seahawks selected Henderson in the sixth round of the NFL Draft, and he will compete for a role in Seattle's receiving corps this season. Henderson is not worth drafting in seasonal leagues, and he's a late-round flier at best in rookie-only drafts for dynasty leagues. The Seahawks have Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Cooper Kupp, Rashid Shaheed, Tory Horton and Jake Bobo ahead of Henderson on the depth chart heading into training camp, but the rookie could easily move up with a strong performance. At Kansas in 2025, he had 45 catches for 766 yards and five touchdowns in 12 games, and we'll see if he can make plays for Seattle as a rookie. If that happens, then add him off the waiver wire in deeper leagues.

Henderson secured three of four targets for 58 yards and returned two kickoffs for 41 yards in the Seahawks' 9-9 tie with the Chiefs on Friday.
Henderson had his best game of the preseason as a receiver, finishing tied with multiple players for the team lead in receptions and qualifying as the runner-up in receiving yards for the night. The rookie sixth-round pick was serviceable on kickoff returns as well, and he finished the preseason averaging 22.0 yards on his four opportunities in that capacity. Henderson may have shown enough promise to secure a practice-squad role, while his path to a spot on the 53-man roster appears steeper.

Henderson caught one of two targets for seven yards in Sunday's 19-16 preseason loss to the Titans. He also returned two kickoffs for 47 yards and notched two solo tackles on special teams.
Henderson was drafted in the sixth round primarily with special teams in mind, and the rookie out of Kansas showcased his versatile skill set in that phase of the game during Week 2 of the preseason. His special-teams ability has Henderson in good position to make the 53-man roster, but he isn't expected to contribute much on offense early on.

Henderson (6-foot-1, 185 pounds) might be a better bet to make a roster than most other sixth-round rookie receiver selections, because Henderson is fully expected to stand out as a special-teams gunner. Henderson was a known special-teams presence even while he was a backup wideout at Alabama, but Henderson managed to log an encouraging season of wideout production in his one year at Kansas. The selection of Henderson might be a bad sign for 2025 seventh-round pick Ricky White, who was also largely selected for his special-teams ability.
