Wesley Grimes: Joins up with San Francisco's practice squad
The 49ers signed Grimes to the practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log.
The 49ers waived Grimes during Sunday's cutdown day. The undrafted free agent out of NC State had a strong enough postseason to be awarded an invite to the 49ers' practice squad. The wide receiver participated in the team's first preseason game against the Titans, catching his sole target for seven yards.
