The elevation of Meeks gives the Lions additional depth at wide receiver in case rookie third-rounder Isaac TeSlaa (oblique) is unable to play against the Eagles on Sunday. It's Meeks' second elevation of the season, and during his first appearance against the Browns in Week 4 he played 13 snaps (four on offense, nine on special teams) without showing up in the box score otherwise.

Meeks failed to make the Lions' initial 53-man roster in late August, but he stuck around on the practice squad and has since been elevated ahead of a Week 4 matchup against the Browns. He's yet to appear in an NFL game after catching 78 passes for 1,021 yards and seven touchdowns during his final collegiate season at Syracuse in 2024.

Meeks led the Lions in receptions (11) and receiving yards (176) through three preseason games, adding two touchdowns as well. Unfortunately, the undrafted free agent out of Syracuse was left off the 53-man roster with the Lions keeping just five wide receivers. Meeks' impressive performance could get him called up to the active roster if injuries stack up.

Meeks caught three of four targets for 78 yards and a touchdown in Friday's 17-10 preseason win over the Falcons.
Meeks made the most of his opportunity against Atlanta, leading the team in catches and receiving yards. The wide receiver was able to connect with Kyle Allen on a home run play in the second quarter, reeling in a 68-yard catch. Additionally, he secured a one-yard touchdown catch from Allen in the third quarter, putting Detroit out front 17-10. Meeks will look to build off of his impressive performance in the team's next game Saturday versus the Dolphins.
