Milroe is once again a backup quarterback in Seattle, and he's not worth drafting in Fantasy leagues this year. Sam Darnold remains the starter for the Seahawks, and Milroe will compete with Drew Lock to be second on the depth chart. The only way Milroe would be Fantasy relevant in 2026 is if Darnold had to miss any time. Should that happen, then you can add Milroe off the waiver wire in the majority of leagues, and he could be an interesting Fantasy option given his rushing ability. That said, we hope Darnold stays healthy all season, which means Milroe will remain on the sidelines in Seattle.

Milroe played every offensive snap for Seattle, with both Sam Darnold and Drew Lock resting on the sideline. Milroe led the Seahawks on a seven-play scoring drive that ended in a field goal during the first quarter and a 10-play drive that ended with his touchdown pass to Nick Vannett in the third. That TD was his first of a relatively underwhelming preseason. Milroe and Drew Lock will split reps in Thursday's preseason game versus the Raiders, Gregg Bell of The Tacoma News Tribune reports.
Sam Darnold and the rest of the non-rookie starters are expected to sit out Thursday. A third-round pick in the 2025 Draft, Milroe is competing with Lock for the backup QB job, and offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak is planning on an even split of reps Thursday. Furthermore, Kubiak is expected to design runs for Milroe, who gained 1,257 yards and 32 touchdowns on the ground through 26 games over his final two seasons at Alabama. While his legs offer intriguing fantasy upside, Thursday's game will provide Milroe with his first opportunity to showcase any improvements he's made to his accuracy as a passer, the primary knock on his college scouting report.
