• Patriots' Kindle Vildor: Signed to New England's 53-man roster

  Rotowire Oct 10, 2026

The Patriots signed Vildor off the practice squad to the active roster Saturday, Evan Lazar of the team's official site reports. Vildor opted to stay in New England on the practice squad after failing to make the 53-man roster at the end of training camp. He's now on the active roster to bolster the Patriots' depth in the secondary, as the team will be without four cornerbacks -- including starting outside corners Christian Gonzalez (shoulder) and Carlton Davis (neck) -- for Sunday's game against the Raiders.

Vildor is set to sign a one-year deal with the Patriots, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. • Lions' Kindle Vildor: Two starts in 2024

  Rotowire Jan 30, 2025

Vildor finished the 2024 regular season with 16 tackles (10 solo) and three pass defenses across 17 games. Vildor signed a one-year, $1.29 million contract with the Lions in April of 2024 after spending the 2023 campaign with Detroit, Tennessee and Chicago. The 2020 fifth-round pick was a consistent contributor on special teams, but he did start at outside corner for Week 12 and 13 and recorded six tackles (five solo) over that span. Vildor enters the 2025 offseason as an unrestricted free agent, and he'll look to join an organization that can offer him more snaps with the first-team defense.

• Lions' Kindle Vildor: Starting Sunday

  Rotowire Nov 24, 2024

Vildor is starting in place of the injured Terrion Arnold (groin) against the Colts on Sunday, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports. Arnold put in a limited practice Thursday and a full session Friday, but he's inactive Sunday anyway, giving Vildor the chance to start opposite Carlton Davis. Vildor has played on 68 defensive snaps in 10 games this season, recording five tackles (four solo) and a pass breakup, though he did start three games during Detroit's 2023 playoff run. The 2020 fifth-round pick of the Bears signed a one-year deal with the Lions in the offseason after spending time with Detroit, Tennessee and Philadelphia last season.

• Bears' Kindle Vildor: Ends season on injured reserve

  Rotowire Jan 8, 2023

Vildor ended the season with 34 tackles and an interception over 11 games. Before being placed on injured reserve after Week 12, Vildor (ankle) was playing as Chicago's top slot cornerback. His tackle totals were very inconsistent, and he averaged three per game, which included four games with zero or one tackle. He'll likely compete for a starting role during training camp. He's under contract with the team through the 2023 season.

• Bears' Kindle Vildor: Misses another session

  Rotowire Dec 21, 2022

Vildor (ankle) didn't practice Wednesday. For the second consecutive day, Vildor was listed on Chicago's injury report as a non-participant due to the ankle issue that's caused him to miss both of the two contests. If the 25-year-old is eventually unable to gain medical clearance prior to Saturday's matchup against Buffalo, then Jaylon Jones would be in line for additional snaps behind starters Jaylon Johnson and Kyler Gordon.

Vildor picked off a pass and tallied six tackles in the Bears' 29-22 loss to the Vikings on Sunday. • Bears' Kindle Vildor: Secures roster spot

  Rotowire Aug 30, 2022

Vildor earned a spot on the Bears' 53-man roster, according to the team's official site. During training camp, Vildor often played outside cornerback while Kyler Gordon moved into the slot when the Bears put three cornerbacks on the field. It's unlikely that Vildor matches the 781 snaps he had last year unless Gordon or Jaylon Johnson miss time. Otherwise, the likelihood of reduced snaps lowers his value from last year, when he posted 46 tackles, in IDP leagues.
