Oliver (ankle) has no injury designation for Buffalo's matchup versus the Falcons on Monday.
Oliver is set to play for the first time since the team's Week 1 win over the Ravens after missing the last four games. Now healthy, the 27-year-old should return to his role as one of Buffalo's starting defensive tackles for Monday's matchup.

Bills' Ed Oliver: Questionable tag for Week 5
Rotowire
Oliver (ankle) was limited in Friday's practice and is questionable for Sunday's game against New England.
Oliver has been out of action since suffering an ankle injury against the Ravens in Week 1, but he has a chance to return from a three-game absence for Sunday's AFC East clash. T.J. Sanders (knee) and Deone Walker would continue to see additional snaps at defensive tackle if Oliver is not cleared to play.

Oliver (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Saints, Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN.com reports.

Bills' Ed Oliver: Doesn't practice Monday
Rotowire
Oliver (ankle) did not participate in Monday's walkthrough practice, Alec White of the Bills' official site reports.
Oliver was unable to play in Sunday's win against the Jets after his foot was stepped on in practice last week. Head coach Sean McDermott did not specify a timeline for Oliver's return, but the seventh-year defensive tackle would have to practice in at least a limited capacity over the next two days to have a shot at playing against the Dolphins on Thursday. Deone Walker and rookie second-rounder T.J. Sanders would see increased work at defensive tackle alongside DaQuan Jones if Oliver cannot play Thursday.

Bills' Ed Oliver: Spotted in walking boot Thursday
Rotowire
Oliver (ankle) didn't participate in practice Thursday and had a walking boot on his left foot in the locker room, Sal Capaccio of WGR 550 Sports Radio reports.
Oliver wasn't listed on Wednesday's injury report but appears to have picked up an ankle injury during the week, putting his availability for Sunday's game against the Jets in jeopardy. If Oliver's unable to suit up, T.J. Sanders and Deone Walker would likely be in line for additional opportunities on the interior of Buffalo's defensive line.

Bills' Ed Oliver: Logs sack in win
Rotowire
Oliver logged six tackles (six solo), including 1.0 sacks, during Buffalo's win over the Ravens on Sunday.
Oliver was one of two Buffalo defenders to record a sack of Lamar Jackson during Sunday's victory. Oliver only managed to record 3.0 sacks across 14 games last season but will look to surpass that total across the remainder of the regular season.

Bills' Ed Oliver: Regresses in 2024
Rotowire
Oliver recorded 29 total tackles (14 solo), including 3.0 sacks, while adding three forced fumbles over 14 regular-season games in 2024.
The 27-year-old was one of the NFL's most productive defensive linemen in 2023 after posting 51 total tackles, including 9.5 sacks, across 16 regular-season games. However, he wasn't able to repeat that performance. Despite the dip in production, Oliver still led Buffalo's defense with three forced fumbles and ranked fourth on the team in sacks. He signed a four-year, $68 million deal with the Bills last offseason, and there's been no indication the team is looking to get out from under that deal.

Bills' Ed Oliver: Strips Wilson, sacks Rodgers in win
Rotowire
Oliver tallied four tackles (three solo), including 1.0 sacks, and one forced fumble during the Bills' 40-14 win over the Jets on Sunday.
Both of Oliver's big plays came late in the third quarter of Sunday's blowout. Matt Milano pounced on a fumble that was caused by Oliver stripping the ball out of Garrett Wilson's hands, and that turnover led to a 14-yard touchdown pass from Josh Allen to rookie Keon Coleman three plays later. Oliver then got to Aaron Rodgers for a 12-yard sack on the final play of the third quarter, and the Bills opted to pull their starters for the fourth quarter. Oliver is now up to 3.0 sacks through 14 regular-season games, 2.0 of which have come over his last three games.

Rotowire
Oliver (hamstring) has been deemed out for Monday's clash against the Jets, Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN.com reports.
Oliver will miss his second straight contest due to a hamstring injury he suffered in practice last week. The veteran defensive lineman did not practice in any capacity this week, so he could be in danger of missing Week 7 as well. In Oliver's absence, DeWayne Carter logged his highest snap count of the season last Sunday, and he could again see extended work against the Jets on Monday Night Football.

Bills' Ed Oliver: Ruled out for Week 5
Rotowire
Bills head coach Sean McDermott said Friday that Oliver (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Texans, Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN.comreports.
Oliver popped up on the injury report Thursday as a limited participant, so it looks like he injured his hamstring in practice and will be forced to miss at least one game as a result. Until Oliver is cleared to retake the field, rookie third-round pick DeWayne Carter will stand to handle an expanded role on defense.

Bills' Ed Oliver: Suffers knee injury Saturday
Rotowire
Oliver suffered a knee injury during Saturday's preseason opener against the Bears. Even though he's been cleared to play, he will not return to the game, according to the NFL Network broadcast.
We'll see if the early week practice reports reveal anything more, but it looks like the Bills may have dodged a bullet after Oliver was injured in the first quarter. The defensive tackle is arguably the team's most important player on that side of the ball, so perhaps the Bills are just playing it safe with a player who will not require much work ahead of Week 1.

Bills' Ed Oliver: Coming off best season
Rotowire
Oliver finished the 2023 regular season with 51 tackle (including 9.5 sacks), three passes defensed and one interception in 16 games.
All of those figures were a career high or tied for a career high for the 2019 first-rounder, while the 9.5 sacks were particularly noteworthy considering he is an interior lineman. Oliver and DaQuan Jones will continue to lead one of the stronger units on the team. The Bills did lose quite a bit of depth in the offseason and will probably draft a defensive lineman this weekend, but no one will enter the fray to meddle with Oliver's projected playing time, plus the Bills need a wide receiver (or two) more than any other position. If your league forces you to have a spot for both defensive ends and tackles, Oliver is one of the league's better IDP choices for the latter slot.

Oliver was forced to miss his first contest of the year in Week 7 versus New England while dealing with a toe injury, but he'll be back out on the field Thursday. The defensive tackle has compiled 24 tackles, including 4.0 sacks, over six games in 2023.

Bills' Ed Oliver: Questionable for Thursday
Rotowire
Oliver (toe) is listed as questionable for Thursday's game versus Tampa Bay, Katherine Fitzgerald of The Buffalo News reports.
Oliver was a limited participant at practice Wednesday, and it seems his status could be up in the air until Buffalo's inactive list is announced 90 minutes before kickoff. If he can't play in Week 8, Tim Settle would likely be in line for an increased workload again.

Bills' Ed Oliver: Won't practice Wednesday
Rotowire
Oliver (toe) will not participate at practice Wednesday, Matt Parrino of The Syracuse Post-Standard reports.
Oliver managed to play through the toe injury he sustained Sunday versus the Giants and finished the game, so any limitations at this point are possibly just related to load management. Even still, he'll probably need to practice in full Thursday or Friday to avoid carrying an injury designation into the weekend.
