  • Bills' Tommy Doyle: Retires from the NFL

    Doyle (knee) announced his retirement from the NFL on Friday. Doyle suffered a torn ACL during the 2023 preseason and missed the entirety of the past two regular seasons. The backup offensive lineman was a fifth-round pick of the Bills out of Miami (OH) and appeared in 12 career games, playing 102 offensive snaps and another 48 on special teams.

  • Bills' Tommy Doyle: Reverts to reserve list

    Doyle (knee) reverted Wednesday to Buffalo's reserve/PUP list after clearing waivers, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Doyle had been waived with a failed physical. The 26-year-old is still recovering from a torn ACL suffered last offseason. If he remains on reserve/PUP after roster cuts in late August, he'll have to miss at least the first four games of the 2024 campaign, making his earliest possible return date Week 5.

    Doyle (knee) was waived by the Bills with a failed physical designation Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Doyle suffered a torn ACL in his right knee last August, which forced him to miss the 2023 campaign. Based on the failed physical, it appears the 26-year-old is still recovering and unable to compete.

    Doyle (knee) has been diagnosed with a knee contusion following Saturday's 23-19 win over the Colts, Matt Parrino of The Syracuse Post-Standard reports. Doyle exited the contest and did not return, but he got good news in regard to the injury being just a contusion. The 25-year-old is competing for the top reserve spot behind Dion Dawkins (hand) at left tackle.
