Bengals' Clay Johnston: Dodges possible concussion
Johnston (head) was not listed on the Bengals' injury report Wednesday.
Johnston was removed from Sunday's win over Cleveland to be evaluated for a head injury, and his absence from Cincinnati's first practice report Week 14 suggests he avoided any potential concussion. The 26-year-old has recorded six tackles as a core special teamer over 13 games this season, so his availability likely won't impact the defensive game plan against Tampa Bay this Sunday.

Bengals' Clay Johnston: Needs evaluation
Johnston has left Sunday's game against the Browns to be evaluated for a head injury.
Johnston will be unable to return if it turns out that he has suffered concussion. Although, it's certainly possible the team will keep him on the sidelines either way and err further on the side of caution. Johnston has only played one defensive snap this season, so his absence shouldn't impact the team's defense.

Bengals' Clay Johnston: Won't play Week 15
Coach Zac Taylor said Friday that Johnston (undisclosed) has been ruled out for Sunday's contest with the Broncos, Geoff Hobson of the Bengals' official site reports.
Johnston was placed on the COVID-19 list Monday and won't return in time for Week 15. The 2020 seventh-round pick has mainly contributed on special teams since joining the Bengals on Nov. 9, so his absence shouldn't impact Cincinnati's defensive game plan.

Clay Johnston: Can't make final team
The Rams waived Johnston on Saturday, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.
Johnston is coming off an ACL injury sustained during his final season at Baylor, so his odds to make the regular-season roster were always slim. The Rams could be motivated to allow the Hard Knocks standout a year to develop on the practice squad.

Rams' Clay Johnston: Putting in work
Johnston (knee) was showcased in episode two of HBO's Hard Knocks taking part in on-field drills.
Johnston fell to the seventh round of April's draft in part due to having missed the last seven games of his senior season at Baylor due to an ACL injury, but it looks as though he's already handling unrestricted practices at training camp. He's competing for a reserve and/or special-teams role as a rookie.
