  • Ravens' Broderick Washington: Undergoes surgery on Achilles

Head coach John Harbaugh told reporters Monday that Washington successfully underwent Achilles tendon surgery, Jonas Shaffer of TheBaltimoreBanner.com reports.

Washington landed on injured reserve in late September due to what was initially listed as an ankle injury, but it's an Achilles injury that the 2020 fifth-rounder is rehabbing from. The injury isn't a tear, and while a timetable for his recovery hasn't been shared by the Ravens, Harbaugh relayed that a return for Washington is not "imminent." John Jenkins will continue to work in an elevated role on the defensive line for as long as Washington is sidelined.

Washington is set to have surgery on his ankle, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.

Washington was placed on Baltimore's injured reserve list after Week 3 versus Detroit due to an ankle injury, and now he'll have surgery to address the issue. Coach John Harbaugh said Tuesday that he doesn't know how it will impact his recovery timeline. Until Washington is back in football shape, John Jenkins should be expected to continue to see increased work on the defensive line.

The Ravens placed Washington (ankle) on injured reserve Saturday.

The sixth-year pro from Texas Tech will now be forced to miss the Ravens' next four games after moving to IR. Washington appeared in each of Baltimore's first three games this season, recording four total tackles and one pass defended. With Nnamdi Madubuike (ankle) also shifting to IR, the Ravens are expected to play Aeneas Peebles and Brent Urban as their top defensive ends in a Week 4 matchup against the Chiefs.

Washington (ankle) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Chiefs.

The 28-year-old was unable to practice all week due to an ankle injury, so it's no surprise that he'll be sidelined Sunday. Washington has tallied four total tackles and one pass defended across the Ravens' first three games this season. In his absence, Aeneas Peebles is expected to see increased reps on Baltimore's defensive line.

  • Ravens' Broderick Washington: Starts five games in 2024

Washington racked up 21 tackles (nine solo), including 2.0 sacks, across 15 regular-season appearances (five starts) with Baltimore in 2024. He also had two passes defensed and one forced fumble.

Washington has two years remaining on his deal with the Ravens, though the team has a potential 'out' for only $1.85 million after the 2025 season. The 2020 fifth-round pick doesn't boast the production to be be considered a reliable fantasy asset in IDP formats, but he has a fair path to reprising a starting role on defense for the 2025 campaign.

  • Ravens' Broderick Washington: Picks up sack in loss

Washington recorded three tackles (three solo) including a sack and a forced fumble during Sunday's 24-19 loss versus the Eagles.

Neither Washington's sack nor his forced fumble had any sway on the outcome of Sunday's contest, but they'll help bolster his overall stats in what has been a respectable season thus far. He'll remain locked into a starting role after Baltimore's bye in Week 14.

  • Ravens' Broderick Washington: Past knee issue

Washington (knee) was a full participant during Thursday's practice, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.

Washington has missed the Ravens' last two games due to a knee issue. He was limited in Wednesday's session, and his ability to practice without restrictions Thursday bodes well for his chances of playing against the Browns on Sunday. Washington has logged four tackles across five regular-season games this year.
