  • Sheldrick Redwine: Won't make roster

Redwine (hamstring) was cut by Dallas on Tuesday, Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News reports. Redwine suffered a hamstring injury during the team's preseason finale against Seattle, but it seems as if he's had time to move past the issue. The 26-year-old has spent four years in the NFL, appearing in a total of 33 games for Cleveland, Miami and New York before signing with Dallas this offseason. He'll now be forced to look for a new home ahead of the coming season.

  • Dolphins' Sheldrick Redwine: Re-signed by Miami

Redwine re-signed Wednesday with the Dolphins on a one-year contract, Adam Schefter of ESPN Schefter reports. Redwine appeared in four games with the Dolphins last season, in addition to two games with the Jets. He'll compete for a depth role at safety and on special teams heading into the 2022 campaign.

  • Dolphins' Sheldrick Redwine: Hits COVID list

Redwine was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Saturday. Redwine had been on the active roster for each of the last four games but will sit out Sunday against the Titans. The Dolphins will accordingly go without some of their special-teams depth.

  • Sheldrick Redwine: Waived by Miami

Redwine has been waived by the Dolphins. Redwine was with the Jets to begin the season, but they waived him after Week 2. He signed with the Dolphins several weeks later but never appeared in a game for them. The 24-year-old will look to latch on with another squad.

  • Dolphins' Sheldrick Redwine: Clear of injury report

Redwine (undisclosed) isn't listed on Wednesday's practice report, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. Redwise was away from the team for Sunday's loss to the Bills due to disciplinary reasons, but he's back at practice Wednesday. He signed with the Dolphins off the Panthers' practice squad last week and could debut for his new team in Week 9.

  • Browns' Sheldrick Redwine: Sitting out practice

Redwine (ankle) will not need surgery to address his injury, but he is not practicing, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports. A timetable for Redwine's recovery remains undisclosed, but it looks like he's at least avoided a worst-case scenario. The depth safety appeared in 15 games with Cleveland last season, notching 27 tackles (19 solo), a half-sack, one interception and one pass breakup.

  • Browns' Sheldrick Redwine: Starting Week 17

Redwine will start at safety Sunday against the Steelers, Andrew Gribble of the Browns' official site reports. The 24-year-old will receive his third start of the season with Andrew Sendejo (undisclosed) on the reserve/COVID-19 list. Redwine totaled eight tackles and played every defensive snap in his previous start Week 15, so he figures to have a similar workload Sunday.

  • Browns' Sheldrick Redwine: Fills in for Harrison

Redwine had an interception and played 19 snaps on defense in Sunday's win over the Colts. Redwine is a special-teams stalwart but was needed after Ronnie Harrison (concussion) left the game. The Browns are thin in the secondary due to injury, particularly safety where Harrison, Grant Delpit (Achilles, IR) and Karl Joseph (hamstring) are idled. The pick was the first of Redwine's NFL career.

  • Browns' Sheldrick Redwine: Draws the start

Redwine will start at safety Week 13 against Pittsburgh. Redwine will be stepping up in place of Damarious Randall, who is inactive for the contest due to an unspecified reason seemingly unrelated to injury. The rookie has recorded three tackles and 40 percent of the defensive snaps or greater in consecutive weeks, but he'll be asked to play a much bigger role Sunday.

  • Browns' Sheldrick Redwine: Practices in full

Redwine (hamstring) was a full participant in Thursday's practice, Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal reports. Redwine was limited in Wednesday's practice, but he's now managed to resume working without limitations. After a one-game absence, the special-teams contributor appears set to suit up Sunday against Denver.
