Nick Boyle: Joins Baltimore's practice squad
The Ravens signed Boyle to their practice squad Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Boyle was a healthy scratch in back-to-back games before being waived by the Ravens on Saturday. While he hasn't been a major factor in Baltimore's offense recently, his veteran leadership and blocking prowess are certainly strong qualities for a practice-squad tight end.

Boyle was a healthy scratch for the first two games of the season but otherwise played a depth role among Baltimore's tight end corps throughout the 2022 campaign. He did not see a target and was used primarily as a blocker.

Since being inactive for the Ravens' first two contests of the season, Boyle has suited up in each of Baltimore's subsequent six games, but he hasn't played more than nine snaps on offense on any occasion and has yet to draw a target. The 29-year-old looks like he'll continue to dress for the Ravens thanks to his ability to contribute on special teams, but he should work exclusively as a blocker nearly any time he takes the field with the offense.
